Story
Ghost is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet and will surely steal your heart! Laid back and very well-mannered, he enjoys an active lifestyle, with daily long walks of several miles and plenty of time to sniff out the latest smells. While walking, Ghost doesn’t pull, but he is a big, strong boy, so he does need a strong and experienced handler. Although he is gentle and likes children, Ghost would be best living with adults. He may prefer to be an only dog, but he is drawn to gentle female dogs and may live happily with another dog. Huskies are an inquisitive and active breed who like to roam. So Ghost needs a large yard with at least a 6-foot privacy fence and an adopter who will enjoy spending time hanging with him and playing fun games to help keep him entertained and contained. Great in the car, he is always up for a fun ride. And a treat! He takes treats gently and will not jump up on you. Ghost's accomplishments are many. He is great on a leash, is house-trained and crate-trained, and will go into the crate upon request and sleeps overnight there without a sound. He has his silly, zoomy moments, like when chasing after his favorite toy he runs around the room. This gorgeous dog will surely make some lucky family a wonderful, loving companion! HEALTH Ghost is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. HISTORY Ghost was found after being lost for 3 months. His owners were located and contacted but did not want him back. Luckily, one of IAR's fosters intervened and brought him into the program! PHYSICAL Ghost is white with golden highlights on his ears, neck and down his back. His fluffy white tail often curls over his back.

Story
Let me introduce you to Bug! She is a 4.5 yr old Husky/Australian Cattle dog mix(50 lbs.), spayed, house broken, trained to go off leash. She loves people of all ages and dogs too. Though sometimes she will speak husky and some dogs get annoyed. Bug has a quest for adventure that just won"t quit. Think of her as a canine version of a Tri-Athlete: friendly, loyal, funny, and way too smart to sit around doing nothing. Seriously, she can hike, bike, swim, car ride, boat ride (probably paddle board too), run thru tall grass, and probably jump over tall buildings (or at least creeks). Her favorite places to go are Lowes or Home Depot, and getting a pup cup at coffee shops, plus she really enjoys going to breweries or pubs. She also loves to chase the water skeeters in creeks, hence the name Bug! I love this dog! She has to be gone by Feb 8th. I don't want her to go to a shelter. She is current on all shots. Thank you for your consideration.

Story
Meet Goosey, a stunning 4-year-old Siberian Husky who’s as sweet as she is beautiful! At a petite 40 pounds, she’s full of energy, love, and personality. Goosey is a total people-pleaser who gets along with other dogs and is generally submissive in her doggie relationships. She absolutely thrives on attention and is always ready to make new friends—two-legged or four-legged!While Goosey is mostly well-behaved, she can be a bit possessive over her toys, but she's working on improving that. As for crate time, she’s definitely not a fan—she’s a certified escape artist when it comes to her crate, often pulling off Houdini-level escapes! Because of the her escape artistry, a 6-foot fence or an active family ready for regular leash walks is a must for her.Goosey is house-trained and has never met a person she didn’t instantly love. She already knows “sit” and is working on perfecting “down.” As a husky, she has never been around cats and probably won’t be their biggest fan.If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion who will keep you on your toes, Goosey is the one! She's ready to bring her energy and love into your home, and she's sure to be your best friend for life.***Please Note: All the available dogs listed on our website are getting spoiled in private foster homes. Who is looking to have the best behaved, most unique dog in the neighborhood?? You must come see Noa!! This beautiful lady is happy to join you on any adventure, jumping out of the crate and walking beside you on her leash with her happy tail wagging! Noa is an adult husky at 38lbs, making her kind of a mini husky (and how cute is that?) but is looking forward to some good meals and a few more pounds. Noa has a gorgeous black and white coat with white socks and eyebrows that would make any lady jealous! She does well with other dogs but is very independent and would do great as an only dog too. Don't delay, this dog will be snuggled in her new home soon! *Weekend Host feedback: "Hello! Noa has been such an absolute joy! She was a pro in the car and settled in so quickly when we got back to my place. She’s incredibly laid-back and loves to cuddle. Our walks together were a breeze—she didn’t pull at all, just walked calmly by my side. After each walk, she’d head straight to the couch for a long nap. She was perfect indoors, had no accidents, and slept soundly through the night. Noa loves being outside and is such a social butterfly, always wanting to say hi to everyone we passed".

Story
Meet joyful Jake, who greets every person, place and thing he meets with curiosity, happiness and energy. Jake jumped in his foster mom’s yard two years ago to play with her lab/pyr mix—and then he jumped out and went to lie down in the road. To keep him safe, foster mom caught Jake and looked for his owner, with no luck. She attempted to rehome him with someone whose temperament ended up being not a good match for Jake, and Jake moved back to foster mom’s house. Although she knew even then that she was not the best match for him (she has double knee replacements) and has cats, which Jake likes to chase, she’s loved Jake for two years. She has recently experienced health issues that are impacting her ability to meet Jake’s need for activity and wants Jake to find the forever home he deserves. At an estimated 4 years old, Jake is neutered, up-to-date on his shots and enjoys daily walks and/or visits to the dog park, where he thinks everyone is his friend. He is house-trained and crate-trained. He would thrive with someone with an active lifestyle who wants to be “his person.” If you’re looking for a hiking buddy and someone to remind you to stop and smell the flowers, which he actually does, then apply to adopt Jake today.
