Story
I got Haku 2 years ago from a neighbor who could not take care of him; the plan was always to foster him. He loves being outside. He has not ever hurt a cat but he chases them and he plays with a lot of energy which is fine for my pit, but maybe not for some other dogs. He loves strangers but has a tendency to jump. He could run, walk, and play all day without getting tired. He is crate trained but he will eat any dog bed you give him.

Story
Please contact foster at taelyn.torres@cmpd.orgNeeds a home without childrenIs the pet good with children? We have not had her exposed to any children since she can be a bit mouthy/biting at hands. Is the pet good with dogs? She has done well our dog Zeus (5yo, neutered male, GSD). I think she would do well with a mature and active dog that can continue to show her how to play and is not too aggressive. Should continue to be separated with food/bones as she gets very possessive. Does well with toys as I don’t think she has had many before because she didn’t really play with them or balls until Zeus kept bringing them to her and kind of jumping and spinning around to teach her how to play/tug etc. After a few days she even went for toys on her own, and seems to be getting more comfortable with playing.Good with cats? We haven’t had her around cats.House broken? She is potty trained and will go by the door if she needs to go which is great.Knows commands? She knows sit and with treats, learning down. She is very treat motivated. Teaching her “crate” and trying to make it a safe space, for sleeping and down time.Afraid of thunderstorms? We haven’t had any, but she is very protective and will bark if sees someone passing outside. Will make a great security guard for the home!Doesn`t like a certain sex person or animal? She gets along with both females and males. Any quirks— She is very sweet and loves to be with her humans on the couch snuggling. She is also starting to learn how to play and enjoys playing with older/mature active dog. She loves her food so should be fed separately and is very treat motivated and seems to catch on to routines quickly. For example, the first night some whining when put in crate at bedtime it, by the third night very little to no whining and sleeps through the night. I do not think she has been walked on a leash much as she pulls a lot and bites the leash. I think she would greatly benefit from a training program to learn more obedience and having a regular routine to improve walking on a leash.
