Like most huskies, she is an independent girl and can be a little aloof at first- once she warms up to you her affectionate side will start to shine. Because she can a bit shy at first with strangers, we are recommending an adult only home with some dog experience. She would be a perfect match for an active person seeking an intelligent and spirited dog to go on adventures with- hiking buddy, anyone? His family can no longer keep him, and he is scheduled to be surrendered to the shelter on February 20th. We are desperately trying to find him a safe home before he enters the shelter system. This boy deserves a chance. He has lived with children ages 3 and 13. Astro is a very active, playful, affectionate young dog who loves fetch, tug of war, and being around his people. He’s crate trained, housetrained (with very rare accidents), and knows several cues: Sit, Down, Come, Paw, Lay, Stop, Stay (kinda!) He’s described by his owner as: “A big ball of love.” Good With Dogs -Astro loves his walks on leash.
