Larz is a male Siberian Husky and came into the shelter as a stray wearing a make shift harness that our medical team had to cut off because it was so tightly wrapped around him. During his routine check-up and upon his intake, medical staff realized he has an old injury to his left eye, which is non-functional, but this doesn`t stop this guy from getting around! He came in shedding his coat, and slightly matted but our staff quickly brushed him out and as he`s still shedding his winter coat, they got a lot of that matting out and he is feeling much better. Larz did growl during his food test, and tends to guard his toys, so he would do best with a savvy owner who has experience with guarding. He did well with his play test with a low-key, polite, female canine friend, but can try to mount sometimes. He’s easy to loop in and out of his cage but can be unsure and hesitant when approached. Arctic offers a hard stare at times and may growl if he feels threatened, so he needs a patient person who will allow him to build trust at his own pace. Buddy and Bailey URGENT Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY Meet Buddy and Bailey. These sweethearts are brother and sister. Their Mom was a pure breed blonde Husky, and dad was a pure breed brindle Pitbull. Buddy is the older sibling at 1½ yrs old, weighing roughly 58lbs. Bailey is just turning 1yr, weighing approx. 50lbs. They are very loved but are sadly losing their current home due to circumstances having nothing to do with them. Buddy and Bailey are very playful and affectionate, and they love to run around the yard. They are good with kids and other dogs. They have been neutered/ spayed and are both UTD on all vaccines. We are hoping they are able remain together but can be separated for the right home(s).
