Story
Siberian Husky born 10/18/2023 in need of an experienced adult only handler with a fenced yard. His behaviors are not typical for this breed, shows aggression toward other animals (dogs, cat) and too rough with children, a home with children is not recommended. He is currently crated at night, separate from other animals and children, and spends most time outdoors in a fenced yard alone unless on a leash because of his aggression. I suspect he’d run if given the opportunity. He digs and chews. He’s manageable in an adult only environment but becomes territorial in the yard and will lunge and nip constantly unless on a leash. Extremely fast and almost impossible to catch. Despite all of this, when being handled, he seems more nervous and timid than aggressive—a completely different personality and turns into a mush. He is microchipped/ACA registered.

Story
Hi, my name is Bubble, I am 10 months old. I am a curious puppy and I really want to explore the world and play all the time, but my human friends are very busy and their home is too tiny for a big guy like me who loves to run and play. One of my favorite activities is long walks(specially in the snow). If you are thinking about taking me home with you, you should know that I Will not hesitate to let you know if I do not agree with you and that I need a lot of toys and space to be a good boi, I need a friend who can play with me, because I get bored easily i am by myself, but by far the most thing you should know is that I need a family who can train me, some one that has the knowledge, patience and determination to bring out my full potential. I already know how to sit, shake your hand, speak, spin, lie down, and wait for my food, and I know how to go slow when I am taking a walk. For more details or questions asks my human friends.

Story
She is a 4-year-old spayed female Red Husky. She’s incredibly lovable, enjoys snuggling, and loves playing outside. It breaks our hearts to consider rehoming her, but we have another dog with extensive medical needs that require significant time and attention. Unfortunately, managing both has become overwhelming for us, and we feel it’s in her best interest to find a home where she can continue to thrive. Ideally, we’d like her to go to a single-family home where she can receive the love and attention she deserves

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     6m Snow is the sweetest pup who loves everyone he meets, especially other doggies.  He is high energy, 6m young, well mannered for his age.  Because he is a Husky mix, must go to a home w/ Husky experience, ideally w/ another Husky in house and plenty of room to play.  Huskies are working dogs--not couch potatoes.  Limiting them is a disservice to the breed and a potential behavior problem.  Please apply if you have both a husky friend in house for him and experience w/ the breed.  All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social. Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
Sally is about 5 years old, and she weighs 60 pounds. This girl is a typical husky - she has a lot of energy, and she is looking for a home without cats! She has a sweet personality, and knows how to sit for treats. Sally comes to us from a foster home where she did well with children and other dogs. Sally must meet any resident dog(s) in a potential new home, to make sure they get along. * Sally qualifies for the shelter's Adult Companion program, for approved adopters aged 50+

These pups are in Ithaca, New York too!

Story
Meet Nala Gee! Don`t let her age, size (61 pounds) or suspected breed mix scare you, Nala Gee is a polite and friendly gal! Brought here because her beloved human lost their housing, Nala has been nothing but love with our staff and volunteers so far. Nala grew up alongside a couple of children, so she may be fine with new children in her life! She can be a little akward with other dogs. If you have dogs at home already, a successful meet up here at the shelter can help you decide. As far as the rest goes, just come and meet her to see if she`s the one for you! The shelter is open to visitors Tuesday-Sunday 12-4:30 PM (Thursdays 12-6:30 PM) This gem of a dog won`t last long! (adoptions category: orange)
