Story
Blizzard is the sweetest husky (maybe with a litle shepherd mix in) boy you'll ever meet! He has quickly acclimated to his foster family's schedule and is a wonderful companion to have around. He loves going on walks and exploring all the different sights and smells... then after his walkies and meals, he is totally chill in the house. He is happy to lounge on the sofa, dog bed or even your lap if you let him. He is snuggly and loves to be petted, rolling on his back for some belly rubs. He sleeps peacefully all night and is housebroken too. Just a great guy looking for a great home! Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Story
Beautiful Coco is a 2 year old Husky/Chow Chow mix that was surrendered due to family members having allergies. She has a typical personality of the two breeds- energetic and fun but can be aloof and independent. She does enjoy short petting sessions and will rub on your legs like a cat! Coco lived with another small dog in her house but seems to be choosy at the shelter when meeting new dogs- a meeting with any other dogs in the house is required during the adoption appointment. Coco, like most huskies, has a prey drive and should not live with cats or other small pets in the home. If you are in a home with a yard we are requiring a fully secured 6 foot fence. Please call the shelter at 516-869-6311 or email us at animalshelter@northhempsteadny.gov for more information. *Reminder* We are currently facilitating adoptions through appointment only. If you arrive at the shelter without an appointment to meet a dog, we may not be able to assist you. Please call the shelter (516-869-6311) during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10AM-4PM) for more information about this dog, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.org for more information about and directions to the shelter.
