Story
King is a 5 year old Husky mix weighing around 40lbs. His story is a tear jerker and when we heard it, we had to bring him along with another dog we pulled from a shelter in NJ. King was surrendered in March of 2023 after the families new landlord put in place a no dog policy leaving them no choice but to surrender their beloved dog or lose their home. The shelter manager said it was the most heartbreaking surrender she had ever witnessed and that it was clear how much this family loved their dog. Shortly after, King shut down completely. He stopped eating, wouldn’t go outside, and was incredibly distrusting of all people. Though he improved within his year there, he was still too nervous to be considered adoptable and despite reaching out to 20 some rescues, none stepped up for him. King is now the poster child for how much a different environment can do for a dog. By his second switch over on transport he was wagging his tail, greeting everyone, sniffing around confident as ever and ready to explore the world. King loves hanging out with other easygoing dogs, enjoys the company of cats, eats all of his food with a little bribe (a small amount of wet food mixed in) and has loved meeting new people. He is crate trained and potty trained when on a consistent routine. He loves going for walks but gets excited and is working on his loose leash walking skills. He sometimes wants to mark in new places but we anticipate this behavior will get better after his neuter in July. He does need an adopter who can listen to him and respect his space when needed (for example, he does not like to be picked up or pet/touched abruptly) so he is looking for a home without young children as his only requirement. Please note, King is only available on a foster to adopt basis until his neuter in July. Story
Hi, I am LaBelle I am a 3 year-old Husky who was rescued from a high kill facility right after I gave birth to my babies. A sweet lady saw me and knew I needed help, so she offered to foster me and my babies until we could find our forever homes. I am so thankful for her and the rescue who saved us. I absolutely love spending time with people and other dogs. I would love a big yard to play in and if there were kids for me to play with, that would even be better. I love children. I love to be outside and enjoying nice cool weather. I do very well inside and use my manners. Unless I really want your attention, then I like to talk to you..... I am a true husky. We are chatty! I would do best with an active family. Please consider giving me a chance to show you how much I can love you. I am a really good girl with a lot of personality. I am fully vetted and ready for adoption. I can be transferred to you via ground transportation as well. Located in Texas

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi   My name is Pfieffer! I am a 5 month old Husky mix and I'm just as sweet as I am cute! I love to play with toys and go on walks in the snow, I am quite the adventurer. I have boundless energy, and love learning new things! My foster mom taught me commands like sit, down, paw, come and wait. I am crate trained and doing amazing with only going potty outside. I get along great with the dogs and the kids in the house. Because of my energy level and herding tendencies, I would do best in a home without small children. At birth she was pure white and the runt of the litter. As Ghost has gotten bigger, the coloring of her mother is coming through. She loves running, playing with her litter mates and has a bunch of puppy energy! Yes, she is as soft as she looks! Because of her genetics, she will need to be with an owner that can assure her the exercise that both breeds within her require. Ghost will need to be housetrained.  submit an application if you want to meet Ghost. NY AG/MKTS RR363  Ghost is being fostered in BuffaloGhost's adoption donation is $650

Story
Guyro has been with us for about 1 and a half years. He was adopted from a kill shelter in texas. He's a good boy, but due to parents separation, he will not be able to come with either of us. He's kennel trained, house trained to ring bells when he needs out, and can do basic sit stay. He is a high energy dog, so a yard is a big yes for him and walks. He is capable of entertaining himself in the house for the most part with chews and bones. He's a goofball and has a great personality but I'm not sure if he would be good with other dogs since we don't have any. He barks and pulls when he sees another, so probably best suited for a home with no dogs.
