Story
King is a 5 year old Husky mix weighing around 40lbs. His story is a tear jerker and when we heard it, we had to bring him along with another dog we pulled from a shelter in NJ. King was surrendered in March of 2023 after the families new landlord put in place a no dog policy leaving them no choice but to surrender their beloved dog or lose their home. The shelter manager said it was the most heartbreaking surrender she had ever witnessed and that it was clear how much this family loved their dog. Shortly after, King shut down completely. He stopped eating, wouldn’t go outside, and was incredibly distrusting of all people. Though he improved within his year there, he was still too nervous to be considered adoptable and despite reaching out to 20 some rescues, none stepped up for him. King is now the poster child for how much a different environment can do for a dog. By his second switch over on transport he was wagging his tail, greeting everyone, sniffing around confident as ever and ready to explore the world. King loves hanging out with other easygoing dogs, enjoys the company of cats, eats all of his food with a little bribe (a small amount of wet food mixed in) and has loved meeting new people. He is crate trained and potty trained when on a consistent routine. He loves going for walks but gets excited and is working on his loose leash walking skills. He sometimes wants to mark in new places but we anticipate this behavior will get better after his neuter in July. He does need an adopter who can listen to him and respect his space when needed (for example, he does not like to be picked up or pet/touched abruptly) so he is looking for a home without young children as his only requirement. Please note, King is only available on a foster to adopt basis until his neuter in July. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting, please fill out an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt *If you have previously submitted an application for another dog who is pending or has been adopted, you can email us with your full name and phone number and ask us to process your application for another dog or general pre-approval instead*

Story
She is a rescue from the SPCA. She is two years old. She likes to escape she’s gotten out of our home and backyard at every opportunity. She can get out of a harness And a lead line as well as a regular collar we use a training chock collar for taking her outside. She loves Kyra’s going to the dog park. She gets along with the dogs and she loves people very sociable To the point where she doesn’t even bark if someone’s at the door She will go to the bathroom inside if she is bored or for attention she has two things when bored. We have used different toys. She doesn’t like any that she can’t chew up in five minutes. It’s hard to keep her attention. She gets bored with bones and toys. She is food/snack. She will sit and can shake and lay down, but only if you have a snack very hard to listen to directions otherwise.

Story
Hi, I am LaBelle I am a 3 year-old Husky who was rescued from a high kill facility right after I gave birth to my babies. A sweet lady saw me and knew I needed help, so she offered to foster me and my babies until we could find our forever homes. I am so thankful for her and the rescue who saved us. I absolutely love spending time with people and other dogs. I would love a big yard to play in and if there were kids for me to play with, that would even be better. I love children. I love to be outside and enjoying nice cool weather. I do very well inside and use my manners. Unless I really want your attention, then I like to talk to you..... I am a true husky. We are chatty! I would do best with an active family. Please consider giving me a chance to show you how much I can love you. I am a really good girl with a lot of personality. I am fully vetted and ready for adoption. I can be transferred to you via ground transportation as well.
