Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Bluey: Approximately 7 (may be younger) year old Husky. A gentle giant, filled with a loving and caring nature. Loves to run around and play. Loves a good scratch behind the ears, belly rubs and snacks. When we adopted him he was missing his front teeth, but that hasn’t affected him in any negative way. He is very empathetic,so if you are sick, he will know and stay as close to you as he can in case you need him. When you wake up he is genuinely excited to see you, and dance around until he is loved and fed. Neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated and up to date on flea and tick meds.     All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
Hi, my name is Bubble, I am 10 months old. I am a curious puppy and I really want to explore the world and play all the time, but my human friends are very busy and their home is too tiny for a big guy like me who loves to run and play. One of my favorite activities is long walks(specially in the snow). If you are thinking about taking me home with you, you should know that I Will not hesitate to let you know if I do not agree with you and that I need a lot of toys and space to be a good boi, I need a friend who can play with me, because I get bored easily i am by myself, but by far the most thing you should know is that I need a family who can train me, some one that has the knowledge, patience and determination to bring out my full potential. I already know how to sit, shake your hand, speak, spin, lie down, and wait for my food, and I know how to go slow when I am taking a walk. For more details or questions asks my human friends.

Story
Looking for a sweet girl who is the perfect mix of active and chill - look no further than Roxie!  We aren't always pitties - Roxie had her doggie DNA test done where we learned she was 37% husky (plus alot of other breeds!). Roxie came to us last year with her pups after living ont he streets of Dallas, Texas.  This sweet girl is currently with an upstate NY foster family, is around 4 1/2 years old, spayed, vetted and ready to go.  Roxie is an overall happy dog who loves to play, she is good with other dogs and kids, but needs a kitty free home.  She knows her basics and is a real smarty pants! All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Story
Rocky is doing well settling into his upstate NY foster home. Coming to us from the Texas scrapyard family. Rocky is a custom Texas street dog mix - not really sure exactly but mom is a Huskymix that we do know! He would definitely do well with an home with another dog as he loves other dogs. He is around 5months old, great with kids too and loves the resident kiddo! He is learning all his puppy 101 and doing great. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Story
Tucker is a true gentleman—loving, protective, and eager to build his confidence with new experiences. He enjoys the company of his foster siblings and would thrive with another dog, though he’d be just as happy as the only pup in the household. He loves swimming, exploring the outdoors, and experiencing all four seasons—sunshine, fall, rain, and snow! ??????? Currently in a foster home in upstate NY, Tucker is about 65lbs and gets along well with both dogs and cats and would be best in a child free home. He does best with new people when introduced slowly to give him time to adjust and feel comfortable. Story
Crypt is a 7 year-old, 55 pound gentleman who came to us from a hoarding case with 27 other huskies. He’s a little nervous in the shelter, but that nervousness goes away when treats come out. He’s confident enough to try pickpocketing our volunteers for snacks if they aren’t paying attention while walking him. He walks well on a leash, and after coming from a home with so many other dogs is dog friendly. We think he’d do well in any home!
