Eddie is a 1.5 year old husky who was found as a stray locally. He is a wonderful boy who has enjoyed playing with other dogs and running around in a fenced in yard. He walks well on leash and knows several basic commands. He has been friendly with all dogs he’s met and enjoys playing in the pool with them in warmer weather! Eddie requires a home with a fenced in yard to get his energy out! This great and handsome boy deserves a loving home! Adoption by appointment only with an approved adoption application. Story
Meet Kyra, URGENTLY NEEDS A LOVING HOME! Kyra Nakita Kyra Nakita is a petite 1 y/o, apx 40 lb. Husky saved from death row at a crowded southern shelter in the nick of time. Now in a temporary foster home, her foster dad is diabetic and recently injured so having a third dog in the home is putting an additional strain on his health, which is why this is urgent. Kyra Nakita will do best in a home with folks who have experience with Huskies and understand their needs and quirks. She took a little bit of time to warm up to the two dogs in the home, but is now getting along with them and even getting along with the cat. (If you have other dogs in the home, her foster dad can tell you whether he thinks it will work or not based on their temperament/personalities). She does her business quickly when on walks and is housebroken. She loves her tennis balls and will entertain herself with one, but loves for you to throw it for her. Overall, she is very chill, and will sleep most of the day. She does take a minute to warm up to new people but she's very lovable and will follow you everywhere once she does. Kyra Nakita is currently in temporary foster care in WV, but she is standing by and ready to board transport to the northeast as soon as someone is willing to open their heart and home to her. If you are interested in learning more about this very sweet girl, please text/call Karen at 413-629-8152 or submit an inquiry ASAP! Thank you for caring about a pet in urgent need.

Story
This is the third husky I’ve had, wonderful dog and amazing breed. He is a purebred dog from a line that has been bred since the 1950’s so he’s 100% husky. The issuei am having is my role has changed for work, and I am now required to travel 90% of the time. He’s not getting the attention, work, or love he needs and I don’t want to continue to have to board him, as he has anxiety when it’s too long. He loves people, dogs, kids, and just about everything except maybe small outdoor creatures. He’s all up to date on shots, heartworm, flea and tick prevention. When I’m able he gets 5 good walks a day, and tug and play time at home. He has attended some daycare to socialize and also socializes on walks. He’d be very good as himself or part of a pack.

Meet Keebler, a 10-month-old Husky mix. He now weighs around 25 pounds, but we expect him to mature to around 40 pounds. He wears a medium-length chocolate, tan, and white coat and peers out at the world through one blue eye and one green eye. This handsome boy gets along great with other dogs, but we are unsure of how he feels about cats. Keebler is an active dog and loves to run around in his kennel. He does great on a leash and will follow you around waiting for pets. Adopt Keebler and let him fill your life with love and joy! (ME, 12/8/24)January 22, 2025, 2:43 pm

Story
Meet the happiest dog at the shelter. Luna came to us after owners decided they didn’t want her to go along with their move. Since she has been at the shelter, she has not met a person who hasn’t fallen in love with her. She is very energetic and easy going. She wants to be around people all the time and seems to suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out). We think Luna would do great in a home that enjoys being active and traveling. We think kids who are old enough to help take care of Luna’s daily responsibilities would be a good age. Luna will accident knock over small kids. If you are looking for some sunshine to warm your heart during the winter this is the girl for you.

Story
MEET SPIRIT! Need a gardening buddy? Spirit’s your girl! She’ll tip-toe through your tulips without wrinkling a petal. She will be your quiet shadow! Spirit is a petite, energetic little girl who is about three-years-old. She loves to cuddle and get petted. She is a quick-learner, especially when treats are involved! Spirit is crate trained, house trained and rides well in the car. She needs to be crated if home alone. Spirit can pull on leash, but does better on an Easy-Walk Harness. Spirit is a typical athletic Husky and can jump a 4ft. fence. She will need at least a 5ft. fenced yard. Spirit does well with other male dogs, but not females. No cats or small animals for Spirit. Spirit has not been around young children so recommend a home with older children, thirteen and up. Spirit is a great hostess! She will welcome your guests and make them feel well loved! Spirit is looking forward to finding her forever home with lots of love and attention. She prefers to be wherever her family is hanging out. If you’re an active family with lots of time to devote to this good girl, you and Spirit may be a match for each other!
