Story
PLEASE READ HIS STORY. WE NEED A MIRACLE FOR CODY. HE ALREADY HAD THE PERFECT HOME BUT WITH HIS OWNER FIGHTING WITH CANCER HE NEEDS A NEW HOME. Hi, my name is Cody. I'm a Shepsky. I was born July 10, 2023, and I am now 14 months old. My 2-legged friend adopted me when I was only 3 months old. My two-legged friend, let's call her my Pawent, has been my best friend. She has two cats named Larry and Gray, and they are cool, especially to run and play with. They hate when I play bite them and drool all over their fur. They were annoyed with me when I first came to live with them, now we are besties. Gray loves purring in my ear when he sleeps next to me, and larry, loves to give me nose kisses. My pawent used to walk me around the parks and trails all around the city. We loved to walk around and took longer walks on Saturday and Sunday when she didn’t have to work. I met my other best friend, Bear, the dog at one of the parks. Bear and I would run play and chase the balls. We also took road trips together. I love sticking my head out of the window and let the air smack me in my face. I'm great in the car. My pawent took me everywhere she went. We went to a lot of birthday parties where I met and played with a lot of other smaller 2-legged friends, I think they call them kids, and I had fun chasing them and running and catching and returning whatever they threw for me to fetch. We were living a GREAT LIFE, then my pawent started to get tired a lot and had no energy to take me for our long walks in the park or for our dates with Bear. She found out that she has a rare cancer condition and the doctor had to put her on all these medicines that made her even more tired and although my kisses make her feel better, she still doesn’t have a lot of energy to do what we use to do. She always gives me my favorite kisses and tells me she loves me, and I love her too, and that she was sorry she can’t play like we use to, so I just lay with her to make her feel better. She says she want to help me find a new home where they will love you just as much as I do so she reach out to a dog rescue where they screen for great new pawents for me I'm nervous but I trust her and she says it's best for me. she says whoever adopts me will run and play with me and take me on long walks again and give me lots of love. A little more about me I love kids, adults, and all other 4-legged animals. I love early morning walks around the neighborhood or parks. I still have energy because I am considered a baby, even though I am a big baby. I have my mother’s German Shepard Coat and my father’s Husky eyes, although one of my debonair eyes is brown and blue, I tend to win over the ladies a lot when we go for walks. I love to eat, boiled chicken, and brown rice being one of my favorite treats with a little bit of broccoli. My pawent takes me to my puppytrician for all of my checkups, and I am in great health. I love my vet, they are so nice and everyone knows me. I got neutered because she said she wants me to live a healthy life and not suffer with some of the ailments my breed can develop as we get older. If you are looking for a 4-leggged friend that will love you, give you lots of kisses, will protect you and love the little and big people in your family and community, then I would love to be apart of your family. Thank you. if you are interested in adopting him, please send us a message or fill out an application.

Story
Armani was adopted at 12 weeks old and has been with us since. He is a fun, loving, amazing dog and love to run outside. I recently just had a newborn baby and my older children are all teenagers and we are now too busy to care for the dog. Armani cane at a time where I was dealing with depression and anxiety he lives to cuddle and loves to love on you. He is so soothing and he will make you happy at your weakest points. Although I don’t want to give Armani away I no longer have the space or able to care for him. I want Armani to be able to go to an amazing home where when is loved and he can care for others.

Story
Luna is a beautiful seven month old husky. She loves to run and play. She loves to snuggle and have belly rubs. Luna enjoys being active. She will need a person that is active. The only reason that I have to put her up for adoption is because I’ve hurt my knee. I’ve hurt my shoulder and my daughter works full-time and we don’t have the time to give her all of the activities and exercise that she requires. It’s not fair to her. she needs someone that can play with her and walk her. Take her to the dog park. She is the sweetest girl.

ABOUT SPEED Speed is a 1-year-old husky/lab mix that sure lives up to his name! This playful guy loves to run in our fenced fields and has the fastest zoomies! In typical husky fashion, he is very curious and likes to check out his surroundings before returning to his people for hugs and playtime. He loves to play fetch and 'keep away' when it's time to go inside. After lots of playing, he is ready to curl up with his humans and loves to have his shoulders massaged. He is a beautiful and friendly dog looking for his perfect family to play and then relax with! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! We prefer applicants within 1 hour drive of Delaware 19703 area, if farther than this please email us first to see if we can make an exception and please read entire bio before completing an application. Thank you. Skye is one gorgeous pup so we have no doubt that he will have many admirers. Our goal is to find Skye a furever family that has just as much energy as he has and is willing and able to make the commitment to ensure Skye stays happy & healthy, both physically & mentally. At 8 months old his family for 6 months were moving and unable to take him. They were able to find a rescue to take him as opposed to bringing him to an overcrowded shelter. Skye is a humongous sweetheart. He is a tiny bit caution for about 5 seconds when meeting new people and dogs, but once he gets a sniff he will acts as if he has known you forever . Skye’s previous ppl said Skye is housebroken and he seems to be. As of now though he stays in the same room where foster mom is, not free run of the house. Skye is still a puppy with puppy behaviors so an eye needs to be kept on him. One of his favorite things to do is to chew. The days he is exercised and tired, he does well and doesn't chew. He has already made great progress, but he’s smart. Any opportunity he thinks he’s going to get away with something, game is ON. He does know ‘leave it’ and ‘drop it’, it just depends if he is in the mood to listen. Skye has been introduced to crate training, and he disliked it so much at first. But now he knows foster mom comes back.. Right now Skye is crated when foster mom isn’t home and still at bedtime. Skye likes to be outside even in the heat of the summer. He’ll find a shaded area in the grass or dirt and lay down. He has learned to love the water too. A small doggie pool to cool the paws, or a spray of the hose is fun too. He enjoys chewing toys, meaning destroying them, but atleast he's not into eat them, and will leave the squeaker for another pup.He definitely needs a yard and 6 foot fence, but he also needs to be walked. He will start pacing to be walked. He loves to be out walking mostly so he can see everyone, he loves people. The minimum right now is in the morning and evening, an hour each. He loves to roll on the cool shaded grass too. He’s not horrible on leash, but definitely needs to ease up, especially in the morning. He would really enjoy to play with a bird, a squirrel or an outside kitty cat. He totally forgets ‘leave it’ in these situations. It’s difficult to get a pup at 8 months who already has been permitted to do things his way and try to reteach everything at once. But he is definitely a smart boy, and tad stubborn. This is foster moms first husky foster and she’s surprised at how much he is like a bill in a China shop, but she is used to little dogs, he’s really not bad, just a big puppy. As far as the shedding, Skye has been introduced to the vacuum so with the right attachment it will be a lot easier to vacuum him than to brush him. He stays a lot more still for the vacuum as opposed to being brushed. He’s really not a big boned male. He’s not done growing but maintaining 40ish pounds. If you would like to meet this handsome pup, please email us for an application, we need to approve your application before setting up a meet. We are a foster based rescue, we don’t have a shelter for you to visit. Skye was neutered, UTD on vaccines, checked for Heartworm and Lyme disease-both are negative, and he is chipped. He’s a thief, just meet him and he will steal your heart! AOLanimalrescue@gmail.com
