Story
Meet Ivan! This gorgeous 2-year-old Siberian Husky is Ivan, and he's been waiting far too long for his forever home 💙. Ivan came to the shelter over the summer after being found wandering the city alone, and he's ready to find the loving family he deserves. With his striking blue eyes and sweet nature, Ivan is the total package! He's out of the puppy stage but still has plenty of energy and loves to go on walks and hikes. He's a smart boy who already knows commands and thrives with structure and activity. Ivan passed his behavior evaluation with flying colors and has tons of potential for a family with Husky experience.Ivan loves making new dog friends and enjoys socializing, but he's a big, jumpy boy, so we recommend no small kids. He's also not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is a must.If you're ready for an adventure-loving, Ivan is your guy. Come meet this sweet and handsome boy today in Tinton Falls, NJ! 💙Applications can be filled out in person or online: ahscares.org/adoptID# 73765 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 60 Age: 2yrs 0mths 4wks

UPDATE ON PICKLES THE COURTESY POST HUSKY MIX. Contact by text 732 546 8805 and your information will be forwarded to Pickles' owner. Apply at rescueridge.com once you text. "Pickles is doing great.  Now one year old.  He is a neutered Husky/Shephard mix (mostly Husky), according to the vet.  He loves to play to get all his energy out, so a fenced-in yard is best for him, but he is currently trained on an electric fence.   He has a girlfriend and just loves all other dogs he meets.  He has never been with cats so do not know how he will react.  Pickles has been receiving training and hopes someone will continue it.  He’s great with all people of all ages and children.  The kennel where he goes to daily where he loves to play, the woman said he’s a fabulous dog.  Just has lots of energy and needs a companion.  However, he is very strong.  His problem is getting out of cars as something had to have happened to him in the past.  Could be he was dropped off at several locations when he was a puppy  Pickles needs a playmate to keep him busy and help him run all day.  He does run on his own, but he tends to get bored quickly.  He’s very smart and always wants to please.  If you or anyone you know is interested in this sweet, loving puppy, please contact me.  My sister is walking with a cane and he’s too much for her to handle on her own.  She needs a therapy dog who is older." Pickles is a courtesy post. Please fill out an application at rescueridge.com   and your information will be sent to his family who needs to rehome him. located in Monmouh County, NJ. Here is the information from his family:"Loves people of all ages and wants to be with you and play. He loves other dogs but not sure about cats so I say no cats. He is about 1 year old now. According to the vet, he’s a Mix. He’s Husky/Stafford Pit and perhaps Shepherd. Short hair dog. He would be great with other dogs so he can play. Knows "Sit" and "Paw." Needs room to run around. The only reason my sister needs to find him a home is because he jumps. My sister is on a cane and not sturdy. She has fallen and can no longer take chances that she will get hurt badly. He may need some training in that area. He does know some commands. He has been in a kennel but not in crate. He has gone to someone’s house who house sits about 6 dogs or so at a time. He loved it and the woman had no issues with him. He played all the time with the other dogs and even her two great Danes. I would say he’s high-energy type. He has a fear of cars, getting into a car, because he was dumped a few times by previous owner who did not take the time to be with him and dumped him on his ex who then did not want him either." Please apply to help this dog-friendly, sweet young pup find the right family to love him. Please text 732 546 8805 to let us know you applied and we will alert his owner. .Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:24 pm

Story
This stunning boy is Kris! He’s a 2-year-old, 75 lb Husky/Shepherd mix. Kris is exactly what you would expect from his breeds- he’s extremely intelligent, affectionate, playful, and loyal! Kris has had professional training, has mastered the “place” command along with many others and is a pleasure to walk on a leash. Kris has a very charming and silly personality and will undoubtedly bring a lot of joy to his new family. Kris would do best with an experienced adopter who will continue to reinforce his training and who can provide him with daily exercise and mental stimulation. If you enjoy walking or hiking and taking your dogs out to public places- Kris would be your perfect companion. Kris prefers a slower introduction to new people but once he is comfortable with you, he will show you his loving nature. Kris is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. If you’d like to meet this blue-eyed beauty, please fill out an application on our website, Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will reach out to you to schedule a meet.       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 3, 2025, 9:09 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Panda is a beautiful pup! She came to us from the NYC shelter system. She was surrendered by her family when they were moving to a new apartment that does not allow pets. Panda did not do well at the shelter so she was labelled as rescue only. Panda is very sensitive to hands coming at her face or neck. She is now in foster and doing very well. She is still leary with new people coming at or over her head but once she trust you she is much better. She is a complete love and is very affectionate! She is gorgeous too! Panda is dog and cat friendly. Her previous owner said she lived with kids and did well but we have not seen her with kids. She does not seem to be housebroken but she was at the shelter for a few weeks so hopefully it is just a bit of retraining needed.  Panda is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450. How to Adopt Me!
