Story
Koa is a smart and friendly girl, about 2 years old, weighing 50lbs. This beautiful girl has one blue eye, one brown eye, and the softest fur! Koa was found running up and down a busy road frantically. Sadly, it is believed that she had been dumped by her previous owners. This intelligent girl is eager to please and already knows all her basic commands, and is house trained. Koa is friendly with people, kids, and dogs (with slow and proper introductions). She is a high energy girl who loves to play fetch with her ball, hike, and play tug of war. She LOVES going for walks and has good leash manners. Koa also enjoys going for car rides - she is always down for a fun adventure! This happy girl would love a forever home with a fenced yard (6' fence), and a family that will commit to providing her the daily exercise/stimulation that she needs. She would enjoy going to doggy daycare or having family members who work from home, and another playful dog that she can spend time with. Koa is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.  If you would like to adopt this sweet girl, please submit an application for her at EHRdogs.org October 3, 2024, 5:47 pm

Story
Look no further... my eyes are going to mesmerize you! My name is Augustus. Yes, you named it, I for sure am some type of beautiful Husky Mix. I am simply an amazing 3 month old, 15 lb pup. I am active, busy, smart, playful, interested in learning about everything and everyone. I love kids and really anyone that will play with me. I am also toy obsessed. I need a family that will keep me active and stimulated as I continue to grow up from puppyhood into adolescence and then adulthood. A person or family that has an interest in training would be great for me. Of course I love other dogs, a buddy would be great but not required. A fenced in yard would be ideal for me and a single family home. I am crate-trained and already getting this whole housebreaking thing! Story
My name is Jane. I am about 40 lbs and 2.5 years old. I have been patiently waiting for my turn to find my own family. I was sitting in a shelter and heartworm positive. We know how hard it is to find fosters for HW+ dogs because the treatment can be lengthy but I totally lucked out. I got the best foster mom who saw me through the whole process to cure me! My foster mom says I have been so easy to have around. I am a husky mix - I am on the smaller size - I might gain a few more pounds now that I am healthy! I am great with everyone - kids, cats, dogs. However, I don't need a ton of action nor a busy household. We think I would enjoy her person or people the most out of everything else. I definitely interact with the other dogs but I am more focused on where my foster mom is and if it were my choice, I would be next to her all the time! I guess my "aloofness" that is a trait of huskies comes out with cats and dogs. I am a great car rider, great at the vet and I like to go on outings. I am pretty social and I think I would love to opportunity to get out and about! I am also very affectionate and I never pass up pets! Story
Handsome Silas is a Siberian Husky mix, born 7/1/24 and we expect he will be medium / large when full grown. We are unsure of what he is mixed with. He is current on vaccinations, neutered, chipped and on preventions. A physical 6 foot min fence is required, if you know the breed, you know why. We are looking for a family who is experienced with the breed. We know he is gorgeous, all huskies are, but they are not a breed for everyone. Here are some fun husky facts to help you consider if you are the right family for this breed of dog. They are a high-energy breed that needs plenty of exercise, so they are not a good fit for everyone. However, if you are looking for a friendly, intelligent, and outgoing dog, a Siberian Husky may be the perfect breed. Here are some additional things to keep in mind if you are considering getting a Siberian Husky: They are escape artists, so you must have a secure yard or ensure they are always on a leash when outside. They are vocal dogs, and they will often howl. They are not hypoallergenic, so they will shed a lot and will require grooming several times a year. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, a Siberian Husky can be a wonderful companion. They are loyal, loving, and always up for an adventure, Silas is currently being fostered in Cookeville, TN but transportation via Rescue Riders LLC to one of their locations is included in the adoption fee. Please reach out if you are interested in applying to add Silas to your family and we will direct you on how to apply.
