A26304 Kratos is a black with white colored, approximately 4-year-old, 55-pound, neutered male, Husky / Akita mix. He entered the shelter as a stray on 03-14-2025 and was altered by our medical staff. Kratos is a friendly but timid and shy boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he still trying to figure out this shelter environment and why he is here. He was running loose for a couple of weeks, that we know of, before we were able to catch him. So right now, he is nervous around new people. He was a little difficult to leash, because he was scared. But he was well behaved during our walks and is overall a good boy. He will need a patient owner who will give him time to decompress and trust again. He will also need some training as he doesn’t respond to any commands. He shows no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. We would recommend a home with no small children right now, as he still needs to learn to trust again. However, he has not shown any aggression, and he loves affection once you spend some time with him. Kratos will be a loyal companion in his new forever home.

Seeking a Loving, Experienced Home for My Dog I’m looking to rehome my dog to someone who can provide her with the structure and consistency she needs. She’s a sweet, non-aggressive dog who rarely barks and knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and stay (most of the time). She does best when she has a kennel and a routine. Unfortunately, I’m not able to keep up with the training she requires. Potty training has been inconsistent, and professional training is beyond my budget right now. With my schedule and limited experience, I can’t give her the attention she truly deserves. I adopted her from a shelter and would hate to send her back. I’m hoping to find an experienced dog owner with a yard and the time to help her thrive. If you think you might be a good fit, please reach out. Thank you.

Winston is a happy husky who is very food motivated and loves to go on walks to smell smells. I adopted him when he was 6 years old from a shelter that saved him from a hoarding situation. He’s a bit skittish at first, but he warms up to people quickly. He’s good at the dog park but needs to be acclimated to dogs at home. He’s not a cuddler, so he doesn’t sleep on the bed often and prefers to sleep on the floor, especially if it’s hot. He’s does not have much of a work drive, but he does have a high prey drive. His coat needs weekly/biweekly brushing and he sheds a ton, as to be expected for his breed. He’s a heavy chewer so he needs super chewer toys or he will tear them to pieces.

Dinah first joined us at only 1 day old after her mom died giving birth. She was bottle fed in one of our foster homes and found a loving family. Unfortunately, Dinah has become too rough for the small dog in her family so they made the difficult decision to return her to us so she could find a new home. Dinah loves to swim, play fetch and go for walks. She is perfect for someone looking for a dog who likes to go on adventures! Dinah does fine with bigger dogs, she likes to play but respects when they are not interested in her. Dinah is kennel trained, house trained and loves to lounge on the couch or in her open crate. She is 3years old and weighs 55 lbs. We have adoption appointments throughout the week!
