Story
Milo is a wonderful dog. He is about 3-4 years old and has so much positive energy. He does not run away or wander which is great for someone who spends a lot of time outside. He loves to be involved in any playing in the house and we have never experienced any aggression from him. Our family has recently moved into an apartment and it's not fair to Milo to spend most of his day inside. He deserves a lot of attention and space to run around. I think any family would be lucky to have him.

Story
Radar is a 4 year old agouti husky. He is a very energetic and loveable goofball. He likes to play wrestle with other dogs and leaves cats alone for the most part. He does have some issues that we've been working on. He can be kennel aggressive and resource guards, so I'd rather him go to a home without small children. It's a bonus if you're experienced with huskies. We're needing to find him a new home because we've run into some financial difficulties and are expecting a human child in October. Please reach out if you think he'd be a good fit in your home.

To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com Are you looking for an exotic pet, rather than an ordinary husky? LOOK at me! I might be mixed with sugar glider or flying squirrel! I'm soooo cute and truly one of a kind! I'm a happy go lucky medium to high energy pup. I want to play all the time, especially with other dogs! I get along great with the other husky in my foster home. I don't guard my food, toys or snacks, but I can occasionally be a little bossy. I'm learning better manners! I know how to use a doggie door and I am potty trained. I've been trusted unsupervised in the house with no problems. I'm smart, trainable, and I walk nicely on a leash. I like to chase and bark at kitties, so I do need a home without any of those! My foster pawrent says I'm just great and describes me as an easy dream dog! Maybe I'm your fantasy pup? To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com Hello there! Cindy Lou here, reporting for duty and cheer! I’m looking to be a new addition to a family, and if you’re reading this, there’s a possibility we’re a perfect match for each other! I’m a super sweet girl, very cuddly. I love to snuggle and jump on laps! My foster says that I’ve got cuddles that would make even the Grinch blush! Turns out, I’d also be really good at a race up or down the Grinch’s mountain, too! I’m very athletic. With that, I’ve become a bit of a jumper, so it’s probably best we get a tall fence in my life, ASAP. Additionally, as much as my snuggles could tame the Grinch, I don’t love to snuggle with everything. Turns out I’ve got a very big prey drive with smaller animals (like cats) or other animals who are not like me. It would be best that I only go to a home where there are only similar-sized dogs. No cats or other animals, please! With all of that, if you’re looking for a lovely lady to go on adventures with, maybe even test your athletic ability alongside mine, then fill out an application for me, Cindy Lou!To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com October 27, 2024, 7:18 pm

Story
To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com Hi I'm Pippi Longstocking!  I'm a happy, easy houseguest! I like lounging around in my foster mom's office while she works. I'm potty trained and have not had an accident here! I am also kennel trained! I go in my kennel bedroom for a treat and I'm quiet all night. I don't even make a fuss when my foster dad leaves at 5am. If you're looking for a dog who lets you get good,  uninterrupted sleep, I'm your girl!   I am mostly neutral with other dogs. I do well living with them as roommates but I'm not looking for a playmate. I'm a people dog, and  more happy to follow my favorite human around all day!   I can be kind of mouthy and grabby with treats which might be a bit much for kids so I'd prefer an adults only home. I'm also not a big fan of high energy, bouncy, screaming kids which you might relate to!    I have heartworm and I will be undergoing treatment while in my foster home. I will receive my first injection at the end of March. Because of this my exercise is restricted currently, but my foster family is doing lots of quieter enrichment activities with me and  giving me lots of love (which I return tenfold!). If you're ready to claim me as your new constant companion, you can go ahead and put it an app and mention Pippi! To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com October 27, 2024, 7:18 pm

To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com Hello!! I'm Tipsy, the affectionate puppy dog learning to navigate a whole new world. I used to be very confused and see double with my two different colored eyes. While I walk mostly in a straight line now, I have stumbled a few times when the small hoomans are around. What do I do? Do I herd them all in one area? Do I protect them? Do they desire running exercises like I do?? My foster mom has been so patient with me as I Iearn to walk the line and I have come a long way. Now I know the small hoomans like to cuddle the way big hoomans do! I sure am a quick learner! Thanks to my foster family, I am quickly gaining confidence and trust with the two-leggeds of all shapes and sizes. My vision is no longer blurry and I look forward to my future. Wondering if you may have a couch I can sleep on? Clothes that need some fur accents? Need a friend to cuddle with all.day everyday?? Apply to meet me! Story
Introducing Nyx!  She is a Siberian Husky/Cattle Dog mix, born appx August 2020.  Nyx is looking for an active home where she can spend a lot of time with her new family.  She knows how to fetch, knows some commands and is leash trained.  She loves to spend time outside and needs a fenced yard so she can explore and chase squirrels!!  Nyx is happiest when on the move and going on adventures.  At nap time, she will enjoy hanging out with you on the couch.  She doesn't like to be left alone or kenneled, but she is crate trained and should be crated if she's left alone at home.  Nyx is friendly with everyone including strangers and kids of all ages. The suggested adoption donation for Nyx is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Please welcome Bella Donna to rescue!  She is a beautfiul Husky, born 2017, and she has a super SWEET disposition.  She does wheelies when she's happy and has the most beautfiul smile.  She is great with dogs and cats.  Bella Donna takes treats nice, walks great on a leash and LOVES everyone she comes into contact with. She is a little overweight, so Bella Donna's new person will need to be able to help her follow a diet and give her regular exercise.  We'll share updates and more information about Bella Donna as we learn more about her.  Please consider giving this girl a home!! Story
Zyla is a beautiful little Siberian Husky/American Pitbull mix (born 10/2024).  She is friendly with all people and animals.  She is housebroken, crate trained and has lots and lots of energy!  The perfect home for Zyla would be with a family that would love to spend time playing with her and she'd be happy to share the home with another dog or cat.  A fenced in yard is a must as she loves playing outside.  (She'll also take off out the front door if you're not watching!)  After Zyla is done playing, she'll turn into a lap dog giving lots of kisses.   She does not like to be left alone and will voice her displeasure when she is in her crate. Zyla is not scared of children, but she is scared of loud noises.  So if someone screams, she will be scared.  Potential adopters should be aware she might be better with older kids depending on your situation at home. If you have attention to give and love play time, please consider adopting Zyla!! The suggested adoption donation for Zyla is $465, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Story
Nana is a sweet, 2-year-old Akita mix (85 lbs) looking for her perfect forever home. She’s incredibly loving, smart, and happiest when she’s close to her person, whether that’s going for a nice walk, playing with toys, or just lounging by your side. She knows basic commands (sit, down, paw, stay) and is both crate trained and house trained. I’ve been working on leash manners and she’s made great progress with consistency and patience. She’s curious and energetic, with a bit of prey drive, so she’d do best in a home without small pets or with slow, careful introductions. Nana can be protective of her food and toys, so if you have other large dogs, just be mindful of that dynamic. She’s shy around new people but will warm up beautifully if given the time to approach on her own terms. She’s spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and comes with a crate, toys, grooming supplies, and more. Please reach out if you'd like to meet Nana or have any questions!
