Story
Aries is a 7 year old husky and he is a sweetheart and a couch potato. He would do best in a home with no other animals though, which is why we’re looking to rehome him. He will do anything for cheese and loves his toys! He also has a knee problem kind of like a torn ACL, so he does limp a bit and has a hard time with lots of stairs, and standing/walking for a long time. He needs a joint supplement for this. He’s never had any issues with people just other dogs/small animals, but he is a sweetie.

Story
Hiya, I'm Luna Rose! I am one playful girl, let me tell you. I've got energy for days but if I have things to keep me busy (such as toys, treat puzzles, playing with other dogs) my energy takes care of itself. I'm also a talker- as most Huskys are. I'm sweet and love attentions. So what do you say, do you think you can be my best friend? If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2218435##

Story
Hello, I'm Sahara. I may be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I'll be your best friend. I'm sweet and friendly, always ready to play or just sit quietly by your side. I've been named after the desert, which is vast and mysterious, just like the love I have to offer. My heart is as warm as the desert sun, and I promise to be loyal and loving. I'm just waiting for the right person to share my warmth with. Adopting me means opening your home to a companion who's playful, yet gentle, who'll bring joy and laughter into your life. I can't wait to meet you!
