Story
My wife adopted Legend from a shelter in 2019, he was originally surrendered at the age of 2 due to him escaping the yard, which we haven’t experienced ourselves. He grew up in a rough breeder household that was too small. He broke his paw at a young age and due to the overcrowding and injury that is why he is not dog friendly. He doesn’t do well either our infant which is the reason for our surrender. He’s overall a good and very quiet husky that needs some love and a place where he can roam the house. He likes to cuddle on the bed and loves his squeaky pig toy. If you don’t have any children or other pets he a a fine addition to the family.

Barrett, aka Bear is a happy husky mix who loves his people and other dogs! Bear is gentle and sweet and loves getting attention. He loves to run and enjoys being outdoors so an active family or person would be perfect for him. Bear is housebroken and leash trained and loves walks!! He's is a people pleaser and will stick right by his human's side whether you are outside hanging out, inside watching TV or working from home, Bear is the perfect sidekick. He's a very smart boy who is very treat motivated! In true husky fashion, he is a Houdini who finds ways to get out of yards by climbing fences so a fence isn't necessary. He does have great recall but needs to be supervised outside. He's a sweet and loving boy who is loyal to his people and would be your very best friend! He needs an active family who enjoys going for walks and someone home during the day! Bear loves his people so much and has a lot of anxiety when left alone all day. Apply here on our website if you want to meet this happy, gorgeous boy!  ww.luckychancerescue.com/adoption-applicationMarch 15, 2025, 3:51 pm

Story
Meet Nyla! Nyla is a 6-year-old Husky who breaks the mold — she definitely doesn’t act like your typical husky! She was surrendered after her owner passed away, and while she was deeply loved, the change in circumstances made it difficult for her to stay in the home.Despite her husky roots, Nyla is well-mannered and eager to please. She walks nicely on leash, is fully potty trained, and is very food motivated. Nyla knows several commands including sit, down, paw, other paw, and speak, and she enjoys playing fetch — even bringing the ball back! She handled restraint well during her veterinary workup. Nyla is an active dog who will still need both physical and mental enrichment to stay happy and fulfilled. While she’s more laid-back than most huskies, breed experience is required so her adopter understands and can meet the needs of a working breed. A secure fenced yard is recommended to help provide safe exercise, and rumor has it she previously lived with another dog, so a dog interaction is required to see if your pup can keep up with Nyla and vice versa.Nyla is a smart, well-trained, and affectionate companion who’s ready to settle into a loving home that will give her structure, activity, and stability for her next chapter. ????

Story
Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption only, in San Antonio or TX area, $200.

Lou is a high energy dog that needs a fenced backyard and walks. He loves throwing a ball and will sit and lay down for pupperoni treats. He was house trained till I went into the hospital and he did not have his regular backyard time or walks. He is very smart and can be easily trained again. He is AKC registered and comes from a long line of champions.
