Story
If you are interested in HENRY or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. HENRY is a handsome boy with the sweetest disposition and most gentle, loving heart ever! He adores other dogs from tiny to giant. He currently shares his foster home with lots of dogs and some kitties and gets along with everyone famously. HENRY has a huge supply of kisses which he happily shares with humans and pups alike. He has truly never met a stranger and absolutely thrives off of making those around him happy. This boy is full of character and his goofy self will bring so much light into his new family’s life. One of his favorite things in the world is playing, whether it’s with his foster sister or entertaining himself. HENRY would make an excellent partner for all of life’s adventures. Welcome HENRY into your family and he will surely show you his gratitude every day for years to come. His $540 adoption fee covers his interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the midwest. For an adoption application on HENRY click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Thank you for choosing rescue!!

Story
This has been one of the hardest decisions for me but one I know that is needed. After needing to take on an other job, it is not fair for Boots to keep his joy caged in :( Boots is a lively, ball of energy that brims with enthusiasm. His favorite activities include playing nonstop, whether it’s fetching his toys or chasing after his friends at the park. Boots adores booty scratches and can often be found leaning into them with pure delight. Daily walks are a highlight for him, giving him the perfect opportunity to explore his surroundings and burn off his endless energy. He recently found his love for swimming & sunbathing when the suns out! Boots spent 3 weeks an obedience school where he thrived earning new commands likes “sit”, “heal”, “place”, “gentle”, etc. Boots thrives on love and attention. Ideally a family or person with a large space for him to run and burn off energy. He does get along with other dogs; I would recommend ones his size so play time doesn’t get to rough.
