Lottie is a beautiful soul who has been having puppies and is not living in a great situation. She hadn't been vetted and is living with a one year old male Siberian who also needs rescue. They are in a house with kids and the family can't afford them or will not vet them. Our rescue will. We are looking for a home for her or for her and her male friend. Looking for a non smoking home on property with a privacy fence and a good size yard. We's say she is in a desperate situation right now. A family or owner who has husky experience as this breed needs lots of time and attention. They are vocal and will speak back to you. We can not consider a apartment or townhouse or manufactured home for them as they can be loud and need room to move about easily. They like the cold weather and are busy and active dogs. A adopter will need to be working from home or have opposite schedules so that she is not spending a lot of time alone. He has been with a three year old female his whole life, in fact we are not sure than he isn't her son. They are in a bad situation in Detroit and they need out. I got Iris & Ivy in California from a military married couple back in 2019. She is roughly 8 years old. I am looking for someone who preferably physically fit due to the breed. Iris is very food driven and very prissy. She is a big girl but very classy. She politely sits when declining a male dog. If taken to a dog park, she loves the little dogs but tends to pay no mind after a while as she rather just play with her sister, Ivy. Iris loves to sun bathe. However she doesn’t like the beach or large bodies of water. Iris has Separation anxiety from her sister and scared of thunderstorms/fireworks. Cuddling with her or giving her love helps. Calm treat or sedative prescribe by the doctor tend to work too.

Ivy is an attention lover and very energetic. She loves to run and will be ahead of you, while her lazier sister prefers to run behind you. She would rather run through a puddle than around it like her sister. Ivy loves her sister and has separation anxiety. At a dog park, she loves to say hello to everybody. She will initiate play with other dogs then continue to play with only her sister. If she likes a boy dog, she just lets him. But discouraged. Prefers someone also energetic and adventurous. Ivy loves to go outside and enjoy a nice sun bathe. She likes kids but keeps to herself for most of the day in the bathroom. She prefers to be curled up in a ball on the bathroom mat. Car rides, she sticks her head out.

Meet Midnight...he is a male husky in need of a new home. According to his previous owner he does not do well with other male dogs. He is friendly. Unlike most huskies he doesn't like going outside very much. If you would like to meet him please visit the Taylor Animal Shelter. We are open 9am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm-3 pm every weekday except Tuesdays. Tuesdays we are open from 12:30 to 3 pm. We are also open Saturdays from 9 to 1 pm.
