Story
Hello We have a 9yo male husky named Lupin who needs to be rehomed. My wife and I have tried very hard to get him acclimated to our son since he was born 2 years ago, but after recent events and a huge scare we unfortunately have to rehome him. He is fully vaccinated and fixed. Great with adults, but does not do well with small children or other pets (he is fine around older children). He would do fantastic in a home where he is the only animal. We are asking for a small fee rehoming fee of $50 so he doesn’t end up in the wrong hands.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Meet the beautiful Raven.Raven is a gorgeous Siberian Husky puppy around the approximate age of 9 months. She has gorgeous black and white markings and the most beautiful brown eyes.Raven is a kind and gentle girl and loves to be in the presence of humans, especially getting lots of pets and scratches. However, Raven ALSO does extremely well playing well with other dogs and loves to romp around the play yards. She exhibits very healthy puppy play by showing play bows and paws on the other dog gently to show she wants to play.Raven is not mouthy at all, but would still greatly benefit from the socialization and training a basic obedience course can offer her. Due to her breed, it will be necessary you have experience with the Siberian Husky breed as well as a dedicated intention for exercise. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $200

Story
Yoshi is a playful, loving, affectionate boy who can't wait to warm your heart and home! Yoshi loves playing with other dogs, loves playing tug with ropes, and loves stuffies with squeakers. Yoshi's true kryptonite, however, is belly rubs! he'll take as many belly rubs as you're willing to give him. Like many of his breed he is very relaxed around the house when given enough activities and stimulation like longs walks, and puzzle toys that stimulate his mind. Yoshi does well in the crate when home alone, he is extremely smart and has been learning basic commands with ease. He is highly motivated by food/treats when inside, but more motivated by affection/pets when outside. Yoshi can't wait to find a home to call his own where he can continue learning and flourishing into the wonderful young man he is. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
