Story
From Aura's foster mom -very calm and gentle -too clever for her own good -silly and goofy -affectionate Meet Aura! She was surrendered to our rescue with her 3 sisters by a local family who could not afford to care for the mother dog and her puppies. Her mother is a husky mix and the family is not sure of the father. The puppies were born on March 9th and are very curious and playful! They currently live in foster care with many other dogs (medium to large) and older children and have done great with everyone. They are very smart and have started working on basic commands and potty training. Husky and Aussies are high energy and sometimes vocal dogs. Please consider this before adopting. Please note: This dog is a puppy and will require additional patience and training. Her adoptive family will also be responsible for completing her puppy vaccines as applicable and completing heartworm testing after the dog is 6 months old. This dog will not be able to go to her new home until she is spayed.(she will be spayed on June 24th). Microchipped, vaccinated and up to date on monthly preventatives. Can be Cat tested upon request! Aura is located in East, TN. But if you are seeing this on adopt-a-pet, transport fees are included in the adoption fee. Out of state adopters are welcomed. Transport is available to your area in the NorthEast or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road (Rescue Riders Transport)!

Story
Radley just needs gentle, positive reinforcement training, like all shelter dogs Radley and his sibling, Chili, were dumped on a back country road. Roaming from place to place and having to fend for themselves until they ended up in the yard of our Intake Coordinator. They were brought into our shelter to try and find them a home. Radley has done very well with other dogs, but can guard food/water. He is wonderful with people and excellent with children. Radley is a 1 yr old male, 42lb husky mix. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. An experienced husky owner is preferred and a fence is required. No small animals.

Story
Hello We have a 9yo male husky named Lupin who needs to be rehomed. My wife and I have tried very hard to get him acclimated to our son since he was born 2 years ago, but after recent events and a huge scare we unfortunately have to rehome him. He is fully vaccinated and fixed. Great with adults, but does not do well with small children or other pets (he is fine around older children). He would do fantastic in a home where he is the only animal. We are asking for a small fee rehoming fee of $50 so he doesn’t end up in the wrong hands.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Bones is a very friendly dog with a lot of energy! She loves to be outside, whether going on a walk or rolling around in the grass. She loves to be around people and will almost immediately roll over for belly rubs when someone pets her. She can get very excited to greet people and is working on staying calm and waiting to be pet. Since she loves to be with her people so much, she would do best in a home that is patient with her as she continues to get used to being alone.  Her favorite toys are the ones she is able to tear up into tiny pieces but she is good about not swallowing things she’s not supposed to. She is still working on potty training but has improved a great deal since coming to her foster home. She will go potty outside as long as she is let out frequently, but she hasn’t quite figured out that she no longer needs to go potty in her crate.  She is typically very calm around other dogs and will rarely bark at them, even if they’re barking at her. She likes to be around other dogs, but can sometimes display a bit of resource guarding towards them if they come close to her while she is playing with a toy. Bones still has a lot of puppy energy and would do best with a lot of stimulation. She has a lot of love to give and is looking for a home that is able to reciprocate that love. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. July 7, 2024, 9:43 am
