Story
Female Husky Mix (LOLA) 9 mths (blue-eye/brown-eye) Located in St. Clair Shores, MI Owner Surrender Due to Personal Reasons Lola is approx 35-40 pounds, UTD on shots-not spayed. She is a HIGH energy dog and would not be good in a home with small children. Kids 12 + she is still a puppy and still likes to chew, and jump so toys and bones and training will need to happen for her to break the puppy habits. She is a husky/pit, no experience with cats, does like other dogs. Needs fenced yard and is crate trained but doesn't like to stay in crate long. Wants to be with her humans. She likes to sleep near or next to her humans, she is still a baby and still requires a lot of attention and love and training, as well as patience. Loves couch/recliner. Brush, food, and water dish, harness, leash, and any other treats or remaining food will be included. Crate is additional $40

Story
*please only contact if you are well known about this breed.* Rocket will be 2 on March 2nd. He walks good on a leash. He has a loud personality and endless energy. He does not like being in his kennel and will cry. He will need to go to a good home with a family who will walk and exercise him every day. He has never tried to escape my yard, hop the fence or run out the door, and will stay close by your side. He is very loving. Will play catch, and will provide lots of companionship. He will make a fantastic running companion, and protect you. He takes a minute to warm up to other animals but will, if given time. Cats not so much. A good home with another large dog or children older than 14 will suit him. Or a young active couple. He will come with an extra large heavy duty creat, toys and some food. My health has declined and will continue too so i need to find him a safe and forever home asap. Willing to travel.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 50-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Hello We have a 9yo male husky named Lupin who needs to be rehomed. My wife and I have tried very hard to get him acclimated to our son since he was born 2 years ago, but after recent events and a huge scare we unfortunately have to rehome him. He is fully vaccinated and fixed. Great with adults, but does not do well with small children or other pets (he is fine around older children). He would do fantastic in a home where he is the only animal. We are asking for a small fee rehoming fee of $50 so he doesn’t end up in the wrong hands.

Story
🐾 Meet Honey Lemon! 🐾This charming 5-year-old husky was found wandering in the cold in Shelby Township, but now she's looking for a warm, loving forever home! Weighing 40 lbs, Honey Lemon is a playful, affectionate girl who adores attention and loves her toys. She’s especially funny to watch as she flings them into the air and catches them with excitement!👑 A Queen Who Loves the SpotlightHoney Lemon prefers to be the only dog in the home—she loves being the center of attention! However, with a slow introduction, she may do well with cats. She hasn't met kids during her time with us, but with proper introductions, she could be a great fit for a family with small children.🏡 An Active and Playful CompanionThis energetic girl would love a backyard to run and play in, but keep in mind—huskies are known for their escape artist skills! A secure yard and regular check-ins will help keep her safe and happy. If you're looking for a sweet, fun-loving companion who will bring endless joy to your home, Honey Lemon is the perfect pup for you! 🐶💛Thank you for showing an interest in our pets. We can never guarantee the breeds of the animals. We do not DNA test. Please feel free to call us with any questions.
