I love people and attention, I love to take walks and explore my surroundings and am quite good on the leash. I play well with other dogs too. I enjoy car rides and am crate trained. Story
Trinity is a very pretty Husky mix with blue eyes. She is currently fostered with other dogs in an adult home. We don't know how she is around young children but older kids should be fine. She is smart, energetic and playful and might be a good companion for another dog. Those interested should be familiar with the breed. She would enjoy going on walks with someone willing to give her lots of love and attention. Trinity is microchipped. We think she is about 1-2 years old.

Story
Freya was found as a stray without id in the neighborhood of one of our volunteers. This active Husky needs an experienced person , ideally familiar with the breed. She is a very sweet dog with a friendly disposition. Freya is a bit shy at first, but quickly warms up to calm and gentle responses. As with all Huskies, she has lots of energy and would love frequent exercise, including long walks and jogs and interactive play, and she walks like a champ on a leash. Freya loves to play with other dogs similar in size. Cats and other small animals might be considered prey so probably are not the best companions nor are young children. This sweet girl is quick to snuggle up and might even need lots of contact and affection. We think she would thrive with an experienced pack leader(s) in a calmer household. We quickly fell in love with this regal beauty and are certain you will too! A high fenced yard is needed or she will need to be on a tie out as she is able to jump a 4 foot chain link fence. Freya is very loving and loves her belly rubbed once she gets to know you. Her beautiful blue eyes will melt your heart! She will be getting spayed when we are able since she not able to at this time. We think she is young about 1 or 1 1/2 years old and she weighs 48 pounds.

Story
Hello We have a 9yo male husky named Lupin who needs to be rehomed. My wife and I have tried very hard to get him acclimated to our son since he was born 2 years ago, but after recent events and a huge scare we unfortunately have to rehome him. He is fully vaccinated and fixed. Great with adults, but does not do well with small children or other pets (he is fine around older children). He would do fantastic in a home where he is the only animal. We are asking for a small fee rehoming fee of $50 so he doesn’t end up in the wrong hands.

These pups are in Livonia, Michigan too!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet Baron, a majestic Husky/Malamute mix with a noble spirit. At 2.5 years old and neutered, Baron is ready to start a new chapter with a family that understands his breed. Baron is very social with other dogs and loves belly rubs. He walks well on a leash and is non-leash reactive, making him great for outings. He crates well at night, is potty trained, and knows commands like sit, shake, high five, and touch. He's eager to learn more tricks! Baron's wooly coat requires regular brushing and professional grooming to keep him comfortable and healthy. Prospective adopters need to understand the grooming commitment and the unique needs of his breed. Baron's new home should not have children under 15, cats, or small dogs. Requirements for Baron's new family: - Experience with Husky/Malamute breeds - Commitment to regular grooming - Understanding of breed-specific behaviors and needs - No children under 15, cats, or small dogs If you meet these requirements, Baron could be the perfect addition to your home. Important Note: Baron had entropion surgery to correct his eyelids. His new family should monitor his eye health as part of his ongoing care. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. December 2, 2024, 2:54 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Meet Zuki! This sweet lady has had a rough few years! Zuki is a Japanese Akita, who was originally imported from Japan. Zuki unfortunately lived her first years of her life being housed in a closet. However, when you first meet her, you would have no idea that she’s had such a lonely past. Zuki loves giving you hugs and kisses but is just as happy sitting quietly at your feet. She’s a quiet girl with a tender and sweet disposition, and she loves all people and all ages. Zuki does show mild signs of reactivity to new dogs, but only when they get to close (she likes her personal space). This is due to never having seen another dog until she was an adult.  Zuki does currently live in a foster home with several other dogs and after a slow and proper introduction she lives happily among them. She would do best in a home without other dogs but with proper introduction and patience could do well. Behavior with cats is unknown but she reacts positively when seeing them at adoption events, so she might do well in a home with cats. Zuki is potty trained and up to date on vaccines. She’s scheduled to be spayed on January 24th.  Breed experience is preferred, but not required. For more information about Zuki please fill out an application at Last Day Dog Rescue!
