Story
Meet Olaf the 6mth Pit/Husky! Olaf is a sweet, goofy and playful puppy with the cutest underbite! He has been DNA tested and his results came back as followed- 41% Siberian Husky 29% American Pit Bull Terrier 16% American Staffordshire Terrier 6% American Bulldog 4% Rottweiler Olaf can be a little shy when meeting new people but once he is comfortable, he is a complete love bug. He loves meeting new doggy friends and does great with friends of all shapes and sizes, although he does tend to play pretty rough. Olaf has recently been dealing with some inconsistent mobility issues (limping, falling over) and was referred to a neurologist. After evaluations and further testing with his specialist, we have concluded that these mobility issues are due to a past trauma when he was a small puppy. Unfortunately, there is no further treatment that can be done. With this being said, he does not seem to be affected or bothered by this at all and he does not require any special care. Most days, he acts like a normal puppy, and you would not be able to tell he has old trauma. On a “bad” day, he may have an on and off right leg limp and strenuous activity should be avoided. Olaf is still working on potty training and needs a consistent and patient family who is willing to take him out frequently. He has been doing well if he goes out every few hours. He is crate trained and knows his basic commands. For being half husky, he is a very quiet boy and is not a big barker/howler. He would make a great apartment dog if there are no breed restrictions! He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, HW- and microchipped. Olaf would make the perfect addition to almost any household! He is such a sweet boy with a lot of love to give!

Full of curiosity, fluffy cuddles, and those classic Husky puppy eyes, this little one is already stealing hearts everywhere. Playful, talkative, and eager to explore, this pup is ready to grow into an adventurous best friend. With love, patience, and plenty of playtime, they’ll be the perfect companion for an active, fun-loving family. Could this adorable fluff be your forever pup? We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. December 14, 2025, 6:44 am

Story
This sweet old gentleman has had a rough go of things. After years of neglect, he’s finally safe and loved — and now he’s ready for the happy ending he’s always deserved. Despite everything he’s been through, his gentle eyes still sparkle with kindness, and his heart is full of love to give. He may be a senior, but don’t tell him that! He still enjoys short walks, cozy naps, and a good brushing session. What he really dreams of now is a retirement home where he can be spoiled silly — a soft bed, tasty meals, and someone to tell him every day what a good boy he is. This resilient Husky has spent too long without comfort or care, and he’s more than ready to spend the rest of his life surrounded by warmth, love, and peace. If you’ve got room in your heart (and your home) for a loyal, grateful companion, this wonderful old soul is waiting just for you. We do not have a facility for you to visit.
