This 2 year old brother and sister pair lost their 51-year old owner suddenly; he died. Now they are in the yard, being cared for daily by their owner's elderly Aunt who cannot keep them, They are to be adopted as a pair. They are used to enjoying the Dog Park and regular exercise, such as jogging or walking. They are lovely dogs. Vet records are available.

Story

Pizzaz is absolutely beautiful with his light brindle coloring! He is estimated to be about 11 months old and weighs 40 pounds. Pizzaz is a very attentive pup who loves to just lean into you for love. He is crazy smart and absolutely loves food puzzles and doing anything that requires mind work. With only working with him a short time, he learned sit, touch, down and shake. You can tell he is a thinker, wanting to learn and please you. Pizzaz craves closeness too, he likes to sneak up in your lap any chance he gets, and he takes his treats very gently. We have also noticed he likes to lay in the sun coming through the window, oh how relaxing! Pizzaz does have some observed food bowl guarding though, but he is catching on quickly to “wait at bowl”. His adopter will need to continue to work on this with him. He needs an experienced adopter who knows how to instill leadership and understands the mental needs of the working breeds. Pizzaz would fit perfectly in a home that has lots of love to give and where any children are at least 13 years old. If you think you could give Pizzaz the home he deserves, he would love to meet you and have a forever family. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Pizzaz would love to meet them. He has a tall, confident approach with other dog with nice play bows. He really needs to go to a home where there is another dog, he just seems more content with a playmate. **In a foster home and not at the kennel** This handsome guy is about 6 years old and 70 pounds. Deuce had a DNA test completed. The results are in and he is a Siberian Husky and Boxer mix. We thought for sure some Akita would be in there but what do we know? Deuce is a typical large breed dog- slow moving, calm, and laid back with short playful bursts of energy. He loves people and other dogs. Deuce knows sit, down, high five, shake, wait, stay, off and leave it. He is fully house trained and is currently in foster with an older male and younger female dog. His favorite things to do include time with his people, hikes, car rides and playtime, especially with other dogs. Deuce needs a knowledgeable and active adopter who can keep him challenged and set limits. Deuce initially displayed some food guarding at the kennel. This is not apparent in his foster care. However, his adopter will need to continue working with him so that it does not resurface. He needs an adult only home. Deuce would love a fenced in yard to safely explore. *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. Mia is estimated to be about 10 months old and weighs 45 pounds. Mia has such an outgoing and playful personality, with a little bit of goofiness rolled in as well, so funny! She loves to lean in for love and snuggles after play time is over. Tennis balls make her very happy and she is hoping her new family would like to play ball with her. Mia does need some help with jumping up for attention, she will need an experienced adopter who knows how to establish themselves as a leader, set limits and work on basic obedience. She is a very smart girl and is looking for direction, she will just blossom with the right guidance. An active, fun family would be her dream and where any children are at least 8 years old. Mia has a lot of love to give and is looking for a forever home where she can grow up and make new memories. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Mia would love to meet them. Ky is such a handsome boy and those eyes... He is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 43 pounds. Ky is a young, great pup with a fun-loving spirit and a sweet, affectionate nature. He is very attentive to you and would love to be included in all your adventures. We fear he was left outside alone a lot because he has some pretty bad fly strikes on his ears that are healing, poor muffin. So, he can’t wait to find a loving family that likes to be with him. Ky is such a good boy who already knows how to sit, but he could use a little basic obedience. While he is playful, he mostly just wants affection and to be close to you. Ky can be a little submissive too and unsure about new things, an adopter who can help build his confidence would be perfect. He needs a home where any children are at least 8 years old.
