You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Triscuit is an absolute lovebug looking for a snuggle buddy. He wants to be pet as much as possible and will make his feelings known by putting his head under your arm if you aren’t petting him. He has a somewhat limited understanding of personal space and prefers to spend his time on top of someone. He is a bit timid, but gets over it pretty quickly when he realizes there are treats and pets available. Triscuit is unfortunately heartworm positive and will need an adopter who will continue his treatment. LDDR will cover the cost, but he will need to be kept calm and on restricted activity until he gets the all clear from the vet. While he isn’t allowed to run around now, he still has a bit of energy that slows that he would love to run around and play once he is able. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. March 17, 2026, 8:33 pm

Story
Leah has been a deeply loved part of our family for the past three years, ever since my son adopted her. Sadly, due to an unexpected relocation, he is no longer able to keep her, and making this decision has been incredibly hard for all of us. Leah is a gentle, loving three-year-old who finds pure joy in her toys and melts with happiness during belly rubs. In addition, she is sporty, and enjoys long walks in the park. Leah has the sweetest bond with our family, especially our two-year-old grandson, whom she adores during his visits. Leah's happiest moments are simply being surrounded by the people she loves. We are hoping to find a warm, compassionate home where Leah will be cherished, protected, and loved just as deeply as she has been with us.

Story
Loki`s owners are looking for a new home for him and have provided this information:Loki (yes name after the marvel show) is a Husky with a strong personality and loves to greet you with a special howl. He is chill but can be a bit energetic when he gets excited about the things he loves, like going outside to run around in the yard, treats or a brand new toy. We adopted Loki when he was 1 year old with heartworms (which has since been treated and cured). We don`t know much about his background but we believe he didn`t have the best one. Loki can be a bit sassy when he wants but also loving when he needs to be. He did start off with behavioral problems in the beginning for example, escaping his crate and breaking in the process but has been corrected since. He has come a long way and just needs a loving home with an experienced owner who has the time and patience for him. Ps. Fun fact Loki has Heterochromia ( one blue eye and the other brown)Diet: His stomach doesn’t handle chicken well, so we stopped feeding it to him once we realized it started to upset his stomach. Our favorite to feed him is the Costco or Meijer brand of salmon or turkey. weight: about 60 poundsgood with dogs: YEScats: UNKNOWNkids: UNKOWNhouse-trained: YESspecial needs: NOexperienced adopter: YESfenced yard needed: YESLoki~born~11/18/19_____Standard and Special Breed adoption fees includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please use these links for our:Online Adoption Application: paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-formWebsite for details, info: paawarren.org***PAAW’s Cat Café is now open in Farmington Hills! Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup! Apply petpath.org

Story
Meet Blizzard! He is a 7-year-old Husky boy who is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. ❤️ This sweet guy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and 100% housetrained. He has lived with children and cats and has done wonderfully with both. He also does well around other dogs. He is a friendly and affectionate dog who enjoys being around his people and is happy to be part of the family. His current family loves him very much, but their child has autism and is very sensitive to the constant licking and the amount of hair that comes with a long-haired Husky, so they have made the difficult decision to find him a home that is a better fit for everyone. Like many Huskies, he has a beautiful long coat, which also means regular brushing and plenty of shedding—so his future family should be prepared for the fluff that comes with such a gorgeous dog! He would do best with a family who understands the Husky breed, enjoys having a loyal companion, and doesn’t mind a little extra hair around the house. If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered, house-trained companion, he could be the perfect addition to your family. 📩 Please reach out if you’re interested in giving this wonderful boy the loving home he deserves. 🐾 He is currently being fostered in Mississippi but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road!
