Story
Maggie - Female, 1 year and 52 pounds. I am a big baby. I was a stray and I was running loose quite often, but the shelter didn’t know which house I lived at in order to attempt to reunite me. My owner never came looking for me. I love when you throw a tennis ball and I chase after it like a goober but I won’t pick it up. I really like to be outside. I am going to need a secure fence and someone with husky experience. The shelter staff really care about me and they don’t want to see me running loose anymore. I have the most beautiful eyes and energetic soul. I have been an angel with potty training here and I haven’t made any messes. I know how to sit and I’m working on my other basic commands. I’m potty trained and my foster says I am a very smart girl!

Story
Meet Brody! He's got the best ears and is an excited, fun-loving guy! He is about ten months old, is neutered, and is one smart cookie! If you need a jogging partner, this dude is perfect for you! We could see him being thrilled to get to log those miles with you. Brody has being a good boy covered. He knows how to sit and he takes treats so nicely. He is SO motivated to learn! The perfect student! We are teaching him how to walk politely on a leash as he is about 55-pounds so nice leash-walking skills are great to have! If you have another welcoming dog, Brody could be such a fun fur-bro to them. He has loved playing with other energetic shelter pups. He loves high speeds and playing chase! If your cat is dog-savvy, Brody had some great play-bows once he got used to them! There are so many awesome things that we love so much about Brody. He is affectionate, interactive, loving, and so handsome. We'd love to find an adopter who will continue to teach Brody lots of good-boy manners because he is smart enough to learn whatever you teach! He's a treat-motivated pup which is great! Come to MHS and meet him!

Story
Meet Rocky James! Look at those eyes! They are icy blue and are even more piercing in person! This guy is a total goofball. He's got long, lanky legs with paws that flop all over. If you have a tennis ball, you are his absolute best friend. Rocky James would love it so much if he found an active family to adopt him. He is an energetic boy, as most two-year-old totally pawsome huskies are, so he'd be thrilled if whoever adopted him had the same personality! The nose on this guy is that of a professional sniffer! If Rocky James catches a whiff of a tasty snack, this guy is right by your side asking for a nibble! We would love to find an adopter for Rocky James who is familiar with huskies and can give this good boy lots of happy memories, like hiking, snuggling, car rides, beach walks, endless tennis balls, etc., as he is so deserving of them! He is about 55-pounds (is a little underweight) and he is neutered. Rocky James is accustomed to living with a female dog in the home. We are still monitoring his interactions with other shelter dogs as well as kitties! Don't miss the chance to add this pup to your home!

Story
This husky girl has stolen all of our hearts immediately! We don't know if it is Myla Jean's gorgeous amber eyes, her fluffier-than-any-other-fluffy tail, or how darling her personality is, but we adore her. She is a polite lady and takes a couple of minutes to get to know you but the best thing about Myla Jean is that you can start to see her silly personality shine quickly. We have learned that her treat preference is anything that has to do with cheese. She loves it! Myla Jean will sit and will take treats gently if you ask her to do so. We love being around her so much. She's just a doll. We think she'd love to find a family who understands huskies so she can thrive, thrive, thrive! We think she'd love to go for daily adventures like fun walkies or on a hiking sniffari so she can use that nose! She has lived with another dog friend before and she did great with him! Since we haven't known her too long yet, we are still monitoring her interactions with other shelter dogs. She asks for no kitties! Myla Jean is about 44-pounds, two years old, and is spayed. Come meet this beauty.

AVAI'm just a young girl with the most striking topaz eyes, and beautiful red coat. I prefer to be with women, because men can make me somewhat nervous. It may take me time to warm up to you, but once I do, I promise you will have a friend for life.I am currently working with a trainer to help build my confidence, and let my lovely personality shine. As for my heritage, well I'm part Husky, so I'll need a secure fenced yard and due to my shyness no children please.DOB 12/27/2020 53 poundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. Story
Trip is waiting for an owner who is willing to enjoy his energy and provide outlets to exercise both his mind and body. He is somewhat insecure so an owner that is confident would be ideal for this adolescent. Trip loves life, and everything around him. He simply just needs to learn some boundaries when it comes to personal space, and expressing his enthusiasm. Remember he is still a puppy. Trip has a tremendous amount of potential to be a wonderful member of someone's family. He is also quite handsome. Trip is a mix of husky/shepherd and will need a fence.DOB 1/15/23 46 PoundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes.
