Story
Hi, guys!My name is Eva and I`m a 7 month old Siberian Husky!I`m a happy, playful, energetic girl looking for a family with the energy to match.I`m a beautiful dog and my breed is very smart. I know how to sit and would love to learn more tricks and obedience. a family that is dedicated to getting me the training I need is a must.I have lots of energy and I love getting that energy out by running around and playing with other dogs. I don`t seem to like cats very much so I will need to go to a home with none. When I`m playing outside in this heat I love to roll around in my kiddie pool! I would love to have one at my new home, pretty please!Due to my puppy energy and lack of manners, it is recommended that I go to a home with no small children.I have a very fluffy coat and will need regular brushing in order to keep me looking and feeling my best.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $150

Story
Everyone, meet Loki!Loki is a Siberian Husky mix just shy of turning one year old. He weighs just under 40 pounds but isn`t done growing quite just yet, however, he won`t get too much bigger. Loki came to us through no fault of his own and was found tied to a post outside of an apartment building when his owner`s couldn`t keep their home. Scared and confused, it took a little bit for Loki to warm up to humans but has absolutely found his favorite people here at the shelter. When Loki finds someone he trusts and likes, he will lightly jump and hug onto your arms. He loves to lean into you and give kisses and LOVES to play fetch with the tennis balls. We are still working on teaching him to return it but he has been doing well with retrieving a ball to come back and have another one thrown. To bring Loki into your home, you MUST have experience and an absolute understanding of the breed, their necessity for exercise and the patience and willingness to help make his transition a success. We want to make sure this puppy gets everything he needs to set him up for success. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $150.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available.
