Story
Margarita (Margo) Margarita is a Female Husky/Shepherd mix DOB: February of 2022 Adoption fee: $125.00 Not much information was supplied on my past when I arrived at the shelter, other than I had a litter or two of puppies in my past. I was very nervous at first, but the staff was very compassionate and patient with me. I am much more comfortable now. My personality can be somewhat aloof. I am an observer, and I may not be super adventurous until I can trust my handlers. I do not mind getting silly and playful. My puppyhood may not have been a normal happy puppy’s life so as I get more comfortable you will see more and more of that puppy behavior come out. I will require a physically fenced yard. I would do best in a calmer home atmosphere. Older children 12+. I may match with another dog pending a meet and greet. I have not been tested with cats. I have a big heart and I would love a home of my very own. I will be a very loyal companion/friend for the right situation

Story
My name is Dottie. I'm a 1 yr. old Husky mix who is spayed, UTD on my shots. I weigh 40 lbs. I'm going to be entering training for 10 weeks on January 10th. I'm currently looking for my furever home. My foster says I'm a unique dog because I have a blue eye and a brown eye. She also says I might have a split personality. She says if she talks to the blue eye it's in one ear and out the other but if she talks to the brown eye she gets attention and obedience. She says it's just the puppy in me that is a bit playful and I will quickly grow out of it. She also says I'm the best cuddle buddy cuz I curl up in her lap to take naps, it's one of my favorite places. Although I still get the zoomies I can be very relaxed and love to chill. I've already learned sit, place, wait (I'm even good about sitting and waiting for my food), and I've learned I love toys. I'm crate trained and house trained but my leash walking needs work, no worries though, my foster says the trainers will fix that. Although my leash walking needs work I love to pack walk with my foster’s furbabies and I do really well following the lead. Some of my favorite time is spent on the tether outside running the yard with the other dogs. I really like to be outside but my favorite place is anywhere a person is. My foster says I could be a Velcro dog. I haven't met a cat, but the barn cats play in the yard and I haven't given chase so I would need a slow introduction, I love other dogs and although I love children I might be better around older kids because of my zoomies. If I sound like the furbaby for you, and you're interested in a loyal companion please fill out an application today! I’m spayed and I’m UTD on all my vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of my own.  RPSM recommends children 6 years and older.  I will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. My adoption fee is $300. ##2219938##

Story
Meet Raphael! Raphael is a 2-year-old Wooly Coated Siberian Husky. Before coming to our shelter, he was kept outside in a small kennel and used for breeding. He’s never had a home with a family, and toys, and a yard to run around in. Because of his history, we are working to help him show interest in playing, walking, and just snuggling. He is not affected by other dogs' behaviors here at the shelter. He’s learning what toys are, and he’s learning that human affection can be a really great thing. He needs someone that is ready to take their time to show him how to be a dog. We think that Raphael would do great in a home with another laid-back dog that can show him how to live the good life, in a home with a family. He’s only 2 and has a lot of years ahead of him! Raphael is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworm. Apply for Raphael here! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/signup/664c2ea080ba55b07a0e6299

Story
A is for all the affection I have to give V is for my vivacious nature E is for easing into new friendships R is for my refreshing outlook on life I is for the incredible adventures we will have together E is for my enthusiasm in everything I do! I hear people-pleasing is supposed to be exhausting....but not for me! Being the young little lady that I am, my potential is as high as your dedication! It is very satisfying to utilize this beautiful brain I have, to make my friends (and my future family) happy. I won't lie to you; I am still growing out of some "puppy habits" (mouthing when I am overly excited) but rest assured, positive redirection and consistency will make for a quick remedy. Because I am still learning my size and appropriate play behavior, I might be best suited for older children that have a sturdy stance. Who needs a television when you could have me to keep you entertained! My enthusiasm is expressed in such a dorky way. I like to zoom around and try my best to impersonate a professional contortionist by folding over like a pretzel with my behind in the air! I am really excited to play with other dogs too, its a great way to let my antics out before we hunker down in bed for the night. Don't wait too long, if you like it....then you should put a collar on it. Take the first steps by submitting your adoption application to the website below! DOB: 2/12/2021 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/
