Story
Misha was a shelter dog at the MD SPCA. She turns 4 years this November. She is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog. She loves going for walks and is very food/treat motivated. Otherwise she loves taking long naps and finding weird places to lay around. She has a strong prey drive towards small animals. She is incredibly strong and fast so I would recommend walking tools like easy-walk or gentle leader. She sheds a lot and needs proper and regular grooming to maintain. She is also an escape artist and will try to escape given the opportunity. Loves water and swimming. She is hovering around 62lbs and eats about 3 Cups of kibble/day. Looking for a home that has a yard or other animals for her to socialize with. Needs a fair amount of activity.

Story
Osita means “Little Bear” in Spanish and we think she looks like a little bear! Osita is such a sweet pup – maybe 18 months to two years old. We think she may be a husky mix, but basically a mix! She’s about 40-45 pounds. Osita is a little wary of strange people but quickly warms up with a few treats. She never barks at them, just is a little shy. She loves following around the other dogs and generally enjoying life but isn’t super high energy. Osita wants to just be where her people are – lying on the floor next to us or following us around. She likes going on walks and doesn’t really react when she sees other dogs. She’s never aggressive and seems to like most people. She is a very special young dog who has had a bit of a difficult life prior to landing with us – BUT she has retained her very sweet personality and doesn’t appear to have been abused. We can tell you the whole story if you’re interested. She is sterilized and fully vaccinated and ready to find her forever f

Story
Female, 2 yrs old, 46 lbs Personality: Affectionate, calm, good running partner, snuggler, quiet, and smart. Brandi is a stunning, intelligent, and kind-hearted fur pal who loves nothing more than being by your side! Whether she's basking in belly rubs, giving kisses, or curling up next to you on the couch, she’s always happiest when she’s with her people. Brandi enjoys exploring the world on walks and runs, but once she’s home, she’s content to relax with her favorite stuffed animals or lie at your feet while you work. Though she can be a bit cautious at first, Brandi truly wants to be friends with everyone. She takes her time warming up to new people and dogs but is always curious and willing to make a connection. She’s currently living with a cat and has proven to be respectful and well-mannered around him. Brandi is a calm and cooperative pup who knows her words ("sit" "down" "off") and is up for new adventures. Brandi's gentle nature, quiet presence, and loving personality make her an incredible addition to any home. She’s the perfect mix of playful and relaxed, energetic and easygoing. With a little patience as she builds her confidence, Brandi will blossom into an even more amazing companion. She’s ready to find a home where she can continue to grow, explore, and share her boundless affection! Story
Meet Flynn, the most handsome, loving, work in progress you'll ever meet! Flynn is a 2-year-old Husky mix. Flynn is stunningly handsome and absolutely adores his people and other dogs, but because of a few quirks, will require a patient adopter. We are unsure exactly what this boy went through in his early days, but it's obvious, it wasn't nice. While Flynn holds no grudges against humans, he is extremely timid. It takes Flynn time to warm up to anyone new. He seems much more at ease around women and children, though does warm up to men...eventually. He enjoys going to the dog park where he has become a superstar - romping and playing with the other dogs. He loves going for walks with his canine foster siblings. Flynn isn't a fan of being left alone but does find comfort in his canine foster siblings in these situations. Flynn's ideal home will have someone home for a good part of the day, at least one other confident dog to help him adjust, and a fenced yard because this fella loves the outdoors and lounging in the sun! He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives, and ready to find his forever home! This dog's adoption fee is $400. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.
