Story
Misha was a shelter dog at the MD SPCA. She turns 4 years this November. She is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog. She loves going for walks and is very food/treat motivated. Otherwise she loves taking long naps and finding weird places to lay around. She has a strong prey drive towards small animals. She is incredibly strong and fast so I would recommend walking tools like easy-walk or gentle leader. She sheds a lot and needs proper and regular grooming to maintain. She is also an escape artist and will try to escape given the opportunity. Loves water and swimming. She is hovering around 62lbs and eats about 3 Cups of kibble/day. Looking for a home that has a yard or other animals for her to socialize with. Needs a fair amount of activity.

Story
Halsey is a magnificent husky! She has all those classic features right down to her perfect pointy ears. How this beauty queen ended up as a stray is so hard to believe. And she is a VERY good girl. She has been a polite miss who has really enjoyed her walks with us as well as getting gentle pettings. Halsey would love to be adopted by folks that have husky experience. They are really neat and special dogs who like to be kept busy. Halsey is also a shedding machine so keep that dog hairbrush as well as your vacuum cleaner ready. She is really a lovely, friendly pooch and she looks forward to meeting you soon

Story
Female, 2 years old, 50 lbs Personality: loyal, affectionate, snuggler, playful, smart, energetic, outgoing, adventurous, trustworthy, adaptable, independent, goofy/funny, easygoing, and brave. Lahni is such a cool dog and we are all are surprised she hasn't been scooped up yet. She loves the outdoors, whether it's watching the wildlife go by on a camping trip or exploring different trails - she'll even brave the rain. When she's not adventuring, this lovebug is glued to your side, and will crawl into your lap for couch snuggles and kisses. She really has it all! Lahni is a social butterfly with other dogs, animals, and humans of all sizes, greeting them with a polite sniff and a waggy tail. So far, Lahni has done well with her initial interactions with the cats in her foster homes so she may do okay in a home with a cat. She absolutely loves other dogs off leash, but can get frustrated when her leash holds her back from saying hello. She's never met a human she doesn't like, though sometimes her excitement can be a bit much for smaller people. Lahni is house trained and does pretty well in the crate as long as she's had enough exercise. Her current foster home trusts her to roam the house solo. This quick study knows the words "sit", "lay", "shake, "stay, and "all done / "no more. She's also learning "leave it" and "off". She loves using her brain during playtime outside or with toys and food puzzles. Cuddly Lahni is looking for her forever home -- apply today to meet her! Follow @tonylazarony for more pics and adventures with Lahni! _____________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Story
Male, 1 year old, 50 lbs Personality: loyal, outgoing, easygoing, goofy/funny, affectionate, adventurous, smart, rambunctious, playful, snuggler, and energetic. Greetings humans. I am Bran and like the food bran, I will bring regular canine joy into your life! If you are looking for regularity of this variety, I am an active and playful guy, so I will help you get your exercise with regular walks and play time. I am a fun-loving pup, and love to meet new people and canines when we are out for our regular walks. Most importantly after our daily exercise, I love just hanging around and getting cuddles and pets. I am always happy; hence you will find me regularly wagging my tail. I like to be around my peeps, so I will regularly follow you around the house. If you regularly work from home, I am pretty quiet and will relax on the couch while you work for my food and treats. My foster says her favorite thing about me is my perky yet floppy ears that bounce when I prance around. I hope you love my "bran" of humor (get it - all the "regular" jokes). So, let's make a date! I can show off my mad canine skilz and treat you to my sweet sense of humor and love and hopefully we can both become Bran new forever pals! Bran was named in honor of longtime supporter Robert Branick, whose generosity has helped save many City Dogs! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Story
Meet Flynn, the most handsome, loving, work in progress you'll ever meet! Flynn is a 1-year-old Husky mix - possibly with Chow or another fluffy breed. Flynn is stunningly handsome and absolutely adores his people and other dogs, but because of a few "quirks," will require a patient adopter. We are unsure exactly what this boy went through in his early days, but it's obvious, it wasn't nice. While Flynn holds no grudges against humans, he is extremely timid. It takes Flynn time to warm up to anyone new. He seems much more at ease around women and children, though does warm up to men...eventually. He enjoys going to the dog park where he has become a superstar - romping and playing with the other dogs. He loves going for walks with his canine foster siblings. Flynn isn't a fan of being left alone but does find comfort in his canine foster siblings in these situations. Flynn's ideal home will have someone home for a good part of the day, at least one other confident dog to help him adjust, and a fenced yard because this fella loves the outdoors and lounging in the sun! He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives, and ready to find his forever home! This dog's adoption fee is $400. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Story
Meet Panda Girl: Your New Best Friend!  Name: Panda Girl  Breed: Husky Mix  Age: 2-3 years old Weight: 48 pounds   Let us tell you about Panda Girl's journey which hasn't been easy. She was found at an abandoned house, left in a dirty pen with two other dogs, surviving without food or water for some time. For the past 9 months Panda Girl has been sadly waiting patiently for her forever home at a small town shelter, existing in a dark and depressing, tiny concrete cell. Despite her tough start, Panda Girl is a true sweetheart and still has a great attitude and grateful for any attention or moment outside her cell in the play yard. This girl is able to stay out in the play yard a lot because she gets along well with other dogs and adores everyone she meets. Her time in the shelter's play yard shows that she still has a  playful spirit and friendly nature.  This poor girl needs a break from this mundane existence in a shelter.  9 months is sheer torture and we hope someone will help her get out by fostering or even better, adopting.  Panda Girl deserves a loving family who will give her the care and companionship she craves. Could you be the one to offer her a second chance at happiness? Whether adoption or fostering, Panda Girl is ready to be your loyal and loving companion. Interested in adopting or fostering Panda Girl? Contact Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue today! Let's give this beautiful girl the break and love she needs. Email CCRTennessee@gmail.com to request an adoption application or learn more about fostering. We are a Middle Tennessee-based rescue, but we travel to the Northeast weekly for our mission.
