Story
Introducing the wonderful Miska, a female husky mix rescued from the shelter's euthanasia list. Although Miska was initially heartworm-positive, she has undergone treatment and is now fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and ready for a fresh start. While Miska remains a bit timid, she is making strides each day towards overcoming her past. It's apparent that she experienced abandonment and lacked the socialization she needed during her puppyhood. Despite her early challenges, Miska is dog-friendly and would thrive in a family environment filled with love, patience, and understanding. Miska deserves the opportunity to find happiness and have a family to call her own. She is currently adapting well in her temporary foster care, but she longs for a permanent home. Consider welcoming Miska into your family in 2023, and be part of her journey to a brighter and happier future.

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/12497Meet Gina – Your Adventure Buddy and Snuggle Partner All in One!Name: GinnaGender: FemaleBreed: Husky/Shepherd MixAge: 3 yearsWeight: 45 lbsCurrent Location: Staunton, VAAbout Are you looking for a spirited, loving adventure buddy who’s equally happy to curl up with you at the end of the day? I’m Ginna, a 3-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix with a gentle nature and a heart full of love. I’m 45 pounds of loyalty, affection, and fun, ready to explore the world by your side.PersonalityI’m playful, affectionate, and I love spending time with my foster family. I’m a bit of an attention hog, so if there’s love being shared, I’ll jump right in! I have a unique play style—sometimes I make a little growling noise, but I’m very submissive and gentle, especially around other dogs and puppies. I take a few days to settle in with new dog friends, but once they understand me, we’re all good. I’m also a great conversationalist with my delightful Husky “talk” and enjoy chatting with my foster family!Energy LevelI’m an active gal who loves to do zoomies in the yard, jumping like a deer and running at top speed! I’m happiest when I have space to play and a fenced yard (at least 5 feet high) where I can safely stretch my legs. I enjoy walks and am great on a leash, though I prefer a fenced yard for bathroom breaks.Skills and TrainingI’m house-trained and will bark to let you know I need to go outside. I’m quiet in my crate, walk well on a leash with a prong collar, and take treats very gently. I know how to “sit” and greet both adults and kids politely when introduced slowly. I am wary of new people, especially young children, so I need a home with calm, patient introductions to new faces. With some time, I warm up—my foster mom’s 4-year-old grandson is now a buddy I gently lick on the face!CompanionshipI’m looking for an active, calm household where I can play, learn, and settle in. I love spending time with other dogs, though I prefer slower introductions, and would do best with a family that enjoys both outdoor adventures and peaceful evenings. With my foster family, I’ve shown how gentle I can be with puppies and how affectionate I am once I know my people.Love and AffectionIf you’re looking for a fun-loving, devoted companion who’s equally up for outdoor adventures and indoor snuggles, I’m the perfect gal for you. I’ll keep you entertained with my Husky charm, love you endlessly, and be the loyal friend you’ve been waiting for. Apply to meet me today, and let’s start our journey together!Watch me in actionWalking on leashSweet girlSitting prettyChasing GinnaWalking on leashPlaying in yardTrevor and GinnaPuppy pile on GinnaI’m doing great at my foster home but I'm ready for a family of my own. Story
We have a 3 year old male purebred Siberian Husky. He is neutered and microchipped. We got him from a breeder in Virginia called Pinto Hollow’s farm. He is very energetic and loves to play. He always wants to be part of whatever we are doing and generally has good behavior. He doesn’t get along with other dogs tends to be aggressive, especially with smaller breeds. He is also very rough when playing so young children may get hurt. We recently had a baby and that has taken much of our time away from our beloved dog, especially since we both work. Our dog deserves more attention and time dedicated to him. We are sad to re home him but it is for the best. We have a pretty large fenced back yard. So he likes to run around and roam on his own in a safe environment. Would recommend new owners to have a back yard or space for him to run around and play.

Story
Meet Kobe, approximately 8 years old male Siberian Husky. Kobe is a shy soul, but once he warms up to you, his loyalty is unwavering. His curious nature makes every day an adventure, always eager to explore new scents and sights. Yet, hes also perfectly content with a quiet day indoors, showing off his playful and goofy side. Hes energetic but equally appreciates a good cuddle session. Kobe's friendly demeanor makes him a wonderful companion.

Story
Mickey was acquired from a gentleman in Ohio who did not have enough space for the puppies that his Husky had. My brother brought him to the family home at 2 months old, with the intentions of taking him with when he moved into his own space. Unfortunately, he moved into an apartment complex that does not allow larger dogs, which was not specified upon moving. Mickey stays in his original home he was brought to, but the care has now fallen on our parents. Work schedules are have gotten difficult while giving him the best life. The home is a spacious townhouse, with no backyard. He goes on walks, park, it is just now at the expensive of time. Mickey is a sweet, mild mannered loving dog. He has sweet quirks like being afraid of the vacuum. He greets you with a handshake and just wants love and rubs. I am looking for a home that has experience in having dogs, (even better if the Husky breed). Has the time, space, backyard even better, and an abundance of love to give Mickey.
