Story
Blue is an almost 5 year old neuter male, he came to us from another family where he needed more time and space to run, he is a high energy boy, who would benefit from someone who enjoys long walks or hikes, he is great with other dogs but not so much with cats. He has done great with kids as young as 5. He routinely goes to the vet and is current on his shots. He enjoys being outside as much as possible but would benefit from staying on a lead or leash, even high fences he can jump. But a very sweet loving boy.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. This lady is a true beauty, inside and out, from her glorious creamy fur coat to her mesmerizing eyes, right down to her friendly personality with others and her sweet natural temperament. Other perks? Well, to name a few more: she is totally house trained, oh so young at only 1 year old, but out of the pesky puppy stage, good with other dogs and children...we could go on and on, but you get the idea. Charlene does not like being in a crate . This is a near perfect dog. A show stopper when you take her for a walk, the very best girl when at home, a perfect medium size, not too big, not too small, JUST RIGHT for a companion/family dog. She is currently playing well with six other dogs of all sizes and breeds and being called the best ever by her foster. She does not display any food aggression. Full of life and love, Charlene has been completely vetted and declared healthy, with all her shots, this princess is ready for her own famly to cherish, and love you she will. It's bred right into her DNA, with that legendary shepherd loyalty just waiting right there to be given to you. She is a precious jewel.  If you are interested in Charlene, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 15, 2024, 11:08 pm

Story
Neko is a rambunctious pup. He needs someone with patience. He would do best in a home where the people are active. Do to his excitability and jumping, we are looking for a home with children over 12 years old. He loves to play. Neko doesn`t get along well with all dogs or cats. Interested adopters need to come a few times to meet. He would do best with a fenced yard.

Max is a year old, 63 lbs. He is good at home with others and can be left alone. Only two people in my house, myself and a teenage boy who Max adores. He likes to pat you when he attention but licks the door handle when he is desperate to go to the bathroom. (I only saw that once). He likes to cuddle l, barely barks and is just very sweet. Our home is quiet but we’re very playful. No trauma or abuse of any kind. I’ll answer any questions you have and will work with you through the process until you’re comfortable and settled in. He will have his bed, bowls, toys, body wash etc 301.433.9046 text/call.

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13900Meet Cato – The Perfect Family Dog with All the Husky Charm! Name: CatoGender: MaleBreed: Husky MixAge: 3 yearsWeight: 80 lbsCurrent Location: Gettysburg, PAAbout Cato Hi! I’m Cato, a 3-year-old Husky mix with a gentle spirit and a big heart for family. At 80 pounds, I’m a strong, affectionate guy with the classic Husky look—striking coloring, soft, thick fur, and eyes that stay attentive to my people and everything around me.Personality I’m a sweet, curious, and playful dog who adores being part of the family. Huskies like me are known for being social, and I’m no exception! I’m calm and friendly, always ready to meet new people or just hang out with my humans. From the toddler who pets my face to the cat who strolls by, I take everything in stride, making me a great fit for any family dynamic. I’m also naturally quiet and don’t bark much—just lots of affection!Energy Level Huskies are known for their energy and love of activity, and I’m no different. I have an energetic side that loves to run, but I’m equally happy to relax and soak up some attention. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or an adventure to the park, I’m game for anything, and I’ve got a loose-leash style that makes walking a breeze. I even have great recall, so I’m ready to come back when called, especially when I’m with my family.Skills and Training I come with the best manners: I’m fully housetrained and can use a doggy door if you have one. I’m crate-trained too, although I don’t mind sleeping outside of the crate if that’s your preference. I know basic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “kennel,” so I’m ready to fit right in. And I’m always polite on a leash—though I may get a little excited if I see a squirrel or bunny!Companionship If you’re looking for a loyal family companion, I’m your perfect match! I’m great with dynamic, affectionate kids and other pets. Huskies like me are known for their loyalty and intelligence, and I’ll show you my affection with lots of gentle attention. I’m very people-oriented, always curious about what you’re up to, and I’m as comfortable in new situations as I am by your side.More Fun Husky Facts Huskies are known for their incredible endurance and intelligence, having been bred for sledding and adventure. Our fur is thick, soft, and perfect for pets—and we have a natural elegance that turns heads! Like a true Husky, I’m attentive and alert, always observing the world around me. My coat is not only beautiful but also easy to maintain with a little brushing. We Huskies are famous for our social, friendly nature, and we form strong bonds with our people, making us fantastic family dogs.Love and Affection With my soft fur, stunning coloring, and love of adventure, I’m ready to be your forever friend. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and friendly Husky mix to join your family, look no further! Please note: This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. The dog was treated for the disease prior to transport north. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read more about heartworm disease here.
