Story
Helloooooooooo, new friend! My name is Zora, and that`s my way of giving you a big ol` husky-style greeting! I`ve got my eyeliner on, my tail is wagging, and I am ready to go on your next adventure with you!You know what`s exciting? EVERYTHING! Playing fetch is exciting, meeting new friends is exciting, going for walks and hikes is exciting, hanging out with you around the house is exciting ... I could go on and on! I`ll happily be your shadow in case anything interesting is going on, but I`m also great at entertaining myself. Give me some toys, and I am good to go! I like other dogs and other people and will happily share my toys, but I can be a little rambunctious sometimes. Playtime is so much fun that I`m not always ready to stop! A gentle reminder about personal space does the trick, but I wouldn`t mind learning from another patient pup who wants to teach me some doggie life hacks.I have my housebreaking skills down pat, and I would do best in a house where I can keep working on my obedience training and crate training skills. I definitely know all my basics (I`m a VERY smart girl!) but sometimes I get distracted if there`s a lot going on. With some continued lessons, I`m sure I can master any kind of command. As you can tell, I really like a lot of things -- people, dogs, toys, adventures -- but my absolute favorite thing to do is to hang out with you and make you happy. Come take me home, and I can show you myself! If you`d like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website – http://www.animalalliesrescue.org/adoption-application – and choose me, Zora! My adoption fee is $350 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. We’ve been checked by a veterinarian, and we’re up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We’ve been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we’ve started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

Story
Cora is in a healthy condition. Vaccines are up-to-date. Neutered, House-trained, and knows a few tricks like sit, lay down, and paw. Cora is estimated to be 4 years and 8 months old. We are looking for a new home for her where she can enjoy plenty of daily activities such as walks and play sessions. She does well in an apartment setting. Cora does well with other dogs. She enjoys playing with toys and gets along well during walks. We are unsure if she is good with cats. She is incredibly affectionate when she feels comfortable. She loves sharing the couch or bed with pets at home. She is very affectionate with humans.

Tyr (Teer) is a 4 year old shepsky with all the sass! He has all the positive traits of a husky and GSD combined! He doesn't like loud noises tho and gets anxious during storms. But that makes him a great thunder storm cuddle buddy! He does well with his brother and sister but im not sure how he would do with other dogs... he's wonderful with kids of all ages. Though you do have to protect your food around him. He's very stealthy. Hahahaha

Story
My mother got this dog from a neighbor of a friends, they had two full breed huskies. She’s one year old her birthday is in November. She’s has very high energy and will become destructive if she can not exert her energy. But she is good with kids, and other dogs. She does live with a cat and never have bit a cat but she does chase outdoor cats, but never harmful. She loves to play fetch with tennis balls and also loves squeaky toys. She doesn’t like bone treats a lot she likes food jerky treats the most.

Story
Alma is a sweet pup that needs love and affection. She is an energetic 10 month old puppy that loves to play fetch. Alma is a quick learner. She is house-broken and crate-trained. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. *The reason she needs to be rehomed is due to landlord restrictions. She must have a privacy fence or only be walked on a leash. She is a jumper and will easily clear a 5 foot fence.

Story
Top of the mornin' to ya! It's me Mullen, the most pleasant lad you'll ever meet! You don't hear about many Irish Siberian Huskies now do ya? But, here I am! With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations. However, I am very smart and learn quickly!! Some basic information about Mullen; he is male, Siberian Husky mix, and expected to be medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

She has a lovely personality with people, very sweet and submissive. If you talk to her, she comes right over, leans on you and then rolls upside down for a belly rub. Miss Priss is looking for a home with no cats or small animals. She enjoys her time out in a yard and enjoys leisurely walks to explore. Miss Priss is smart, charming and loyal.  She is a lovely companion to have around. Miss Priss is a confident female dog around other dogs and will not hesitate to put another dog in their place if they do not read her body language. She refuses to walk on a leash.  Big cuddler.  I rescued her from a former neighbor but she has turn our lives very chaotic with her possessive behaviors towards me.  Sasha dislikes/fears loud noises and thunder.  She loves car rides.  She's kept in her crate during the day and sleeps on her dog bed at night." Sasha's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "Sasha is a wonderful dog when things are calm or it's one on one.  She has become very possessive of me though and is starting to scare my family/other dog." Bite Incident:  On 26 April 2024, in Lothian, Sasha bit her male guardian's hand; the bite didn't break the skin, animal control was not involved, and medical attention was not required.  Sasha bit him when he attempted to pick her up to put her in the crate while the kids ate dinner. Sasha's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Sasha lives with children, ages 4 & 7, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with children that young; she recommends Sasha living with children 10yo and older, as she's been good with children that age; she's "weary of younger, too loud for her". Story
Skipjack is a delightful and stunning 2-year-old Akita mix currently in a foster home. Skipjack loves adventure and he would thrive with an active person or family. In his home there aren't children, but they do visit! He does well with an 8 and 13 year old but may be a little too bouncy for small children. Initially shy, Skipjack reveals his goofy and affectionate nature once he warms up. He loves belly rubs and can’t get enough of the water, often splashing around in the dog pool. He does have a bit of a prey drive and might get distracted by rabbits or squirrels on walks, but he generally walks well on a leash. He would also prefer a home without cats. Skipjack is a sweetheart, responding well to direction and training, but he will need a committed owner to continue his training. He hasn’t had any accidents in his designated space and he is crate trained. He is generally well behaved, he is working on his excitement when meeting new people! Skipjack is a lovable, high-energy dog who would be a great companion for an active individual or family willing to continue his training and provide him with the attention he needs. You must be over 21 and a home owner to adopt me. Please visit www.pittiesandpurrs.org to fill out an application. For further information contact adoptpitties@gmail.com

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE.
