Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgWelcoming Buddy, to the H-E-A-R-T pack! Buddy was a stray in NC. He's approximately 5 1/2 years old and has a lovely temperament! Buddy had many medical issues we've had to address so he's been with us for a while. He required FHO surgery to fix a hip injury he sustained early in life. Likely from trauma of some sort and he was heartworm positive. Now that he's all fixed up, his last step is to find his forever home. Buddy is dog friendly but would also be fine as an only dog. He coexists nicely but isn't a player. He loves human attention and likes to go for car rides. His main goal in life is human affection. Buddy is: Completely housebroken Moderate energy Strong on a leash Good with other dogs Good with children Would be okay being leash walked instead of having a fenced yard Allowed on furniture Not a fan of the vacuum or mop Buddy's ideal home is someone who works from home and has a place for Buddy to lay and sun bathe with the occasional job to chase the bunnies. Buddy loves car rides so would like his human to take him for some rides to sniff his nose out of a cracked window. Someone who likes movie nights in and will let buddy snuggle up against them.  Buddy is being fostered in MD.  Adoption area: NJ to NC.~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply     If you have additional questions please email  info@huskyrescueteam.orgNovember 5, 2024, 12:22 pm

Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgThis is Charlie! And just look at those cute ears! Charlie is a 3-4 year old Shepherd/Husky mix new to the H-E-A-R-T program. We don't know anything about his past because he was a stray. But he's a super smart, happy guy. Charlie plays well with other dogs but prefers females. He would be okay in a home as an only dog. He'd like a forever home with fenced yard. Charlie is neutered, vaccinated and healthy. He's being fostered in NC but can be transported for the right family! Adoption area NJ to NC. www.huskyrescueteam.org~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgThis little lady was either dumped or lost in Grand Bay National Park in Georgia. Grand Bay has tons of alligators and snakes. It took a while to catch her but she's now safe! She completed a stray hold through the local shelter but no one came for her and she wasn't microchipped. Even though we are beyond full with Huskies waiting on homes, we couldn't leave her fate to chance after all she's endured. So we welcomed Gia! The name is short and sweet, just like her!!! Gia is such a funny gal and she needs a furever home of her own where she's able to entertain her hoomans and be the life of the pawty! Gia is fine with most of her foster canine friends, but didn't do well with a resident dog during a trial adoption so we think she'd do best with other male, submissive dogs or as an only dog. She is in a foster home with cats and mostly ignores them, but anyone wishing to adopt who has cats should ensure their cats have an escape route, never leave Gia and cats unattended together, and have a solid plan to separate and rotate the cats and Husky if needed. It's the cat who sets the tone for the relationship and we can't predict your cats behavior! We certainly don't want Gia to be returned to the rescue because of it. Gia is: Housebroken, Crate Trained, Very vocal. High energy, Good on a leash, Allowed on furniture, Cuddle bug.   Gia is estimated to be two years old and currently weighs 35 lbs. She is spayed, current on her vaccines and heartworm negative. She is bi-eyed and her brown eye has a fleck of blue in it, too. Her adoption area is CT, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA, NC, SC or GA. Gia is being fostered in GA but we will transport for an approved home. So please apply today!  ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgMeet Blue! She is a year old, 32 pound Husky mix. Blue was originally adopted from one of our partner shelters as a puppy but was brought back to the shelter when the Adopter felt she was ‘not a good fit’ because she play nips at children Um, hello... She's still a puppy! Being an owner surrender in a full shelter, her fate was uncertain so we brought her into our program. Blue loves other animals and plays like a true Husky. According to her previous owners she loves to dig and needs an abundance of tough toys. Blue was a sweetheart when she arrived back at the shelter and did a great job sharing her space with another dog. She's an energetic girl who knows how to sit on command. She also doesn't pay cats any attention in the house. She's being fostered in NC now and must go to a furever home with other active, playful dog friends. She'd also like a fenced yard to run. Blue is spayed, current on vaccines and heartworm negative. Her adoption area CT to GA, all states in between and we can transport!~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.org Meet Ally and Jackson! They were running the streets in NC. After a few sightings they were picked up by animal control and taken to the shelter. It's amazing neither were struck by a vehicle given the busy roads they were traveling! After their stray hold was over, they were in danger of being euthanized because of overcrowding. So they're now members of H-E-A-R-T and searching for a furever home together. They will require a secure, fenced yard. Ally can easily get over a short fence or gate. Ally really loves humans and requires a lot of affection. Jackson is a singer and as sweet as can be! He's incredibly smart and picks up on things fast. She's just 10-12 months old and he's 1 1/2-2 years old.   Video of Jackson & Ally playing: https://youtu.be/ArzTFIkkGZI   They are spayed and neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on vaccines and healthy. Ally is bi-eyed and parti-eyed. That means she has two different collar eyes, but her blue eye also has amber in it. Jackson has crystal blue eyes. They are being fostered in NC but can be transported for the right home. Adoption area is CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, VA, MD, NC, SC & GA. ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.org Welcoming Scarlett to the H-E-A-R-T pack! Scarlett was rescued from a NC shelter. She was originally a stray but adopted from the shelter by a family with small children. They soon returned her to the shelter because she was supposedly overwhelmed by the kids. Unfortunately, Scarlett wasn't given any time to acclimate before they dumped her back at the shelter. Now an "owner surrender" in a packed shelter, her number was up. So we made room for one more! And let us tell you, this little 11-12 month old gal walked right into the sanctuary, with all the other dogs, like she owns the place! She's a pretty confident gal so who knows why she's been so misfortunate. That's okay baby doll... We'll make sure your next stop is furever! Scarlett will need a home where she has other canine friends to play with and room to stretch her legs. She has a rough and tough wrestle style of play, true to the Husky breed. She'll need a playmate(s) who can match her zealous style. She's still all puppy so we'd recommend a home with no small animals or children. She's very inquisitive and would make a great adventure partner.   Scarlett is spayed, current on her vaccines and is finishing up heartworm treatment. She's ready for her next adventure with a dedicated family. Scarlett is being fostered in NC. She can be transported for the right home!
