Story
I am currently in a foster home. Interested in me? Please fill out an adoption application: https://indyhumane.wufoo.com/forms/pet-adoption-application/Hi, I`m Lovin! I`m a good girl looking for my furever home. I can be very shy at first, but once you get to know me I will show you that I am an awesome husky girl! I am a very playful girl with other pups and would do well with an energetic doggie friend. I would do best in a home with no kitties or small dogs. I will need a home that is ready to give me lots of love and enrichment, and I will give back all the LOVIN I can give!! Come meet me today!

Story
This is Stella. She is such a sweetheart and likes to stay close by your side. Her personality is calm, relaxed, and extremely athletic. Her age and story is unknown with her being found as a stray. But, she is younger and has energy. She channels that energy accordingly and is surprisingly very chill. I have not had her around kids but I think she would do great. She has a high prey drive and tries to attack cats and my chickens. Stella was found on the east side of Indianapolis dodging traffic as a stray from a friend of mine. My friend was going to take her to a shelter. I didn't want her to go to a shelter so I decided to foster her. She is a Husky mix. Not sure what else she is mixed with. Stella is one of the sweetest dogs you'll meet. She will come with a crate, collar, leash, toys, treats, and food. Feel free to drop an application and ask any questions.

Story
This is my baby Draco. It hurts to have to post this but I do. I am finally moving out of a bust down one bedroom apartment, and they will only let me take one of my dogs and I have to say she’s a service dog . My mom first adopted Draco when I was 15. She left him with her ex friend for around a year a half about 2 years after we had him. He was neglected and abused. He ended back up at the shelter and I was able to claim him. My original intent was to rehome him but I held on to him. But now that I can only take one dog I have to. He is a funny quirky loveable boy. He has bronchitis from allergies and needs to be given Benadryl twice a day to help him. I just recently took him to the vet where they told me this. He coughs, hacks, and wheezes but hopefully this will get better once he is on the Benadryl for a little bit. I would also please ask you take him to your vet and see what they recommend. Before adopting I will want to do a home visit and introductions between any other anim

Story
Scout is a very smart, high energy Husky mix. He loves other dogs and plays especially well with larger dogs. He is house trained and has been through novice training class. He knows sit, down, his name/come, and place. He is a lovey baby who wants to snuggle in the couch with you and go everywhere you go. Scout is extremely athletic and can jump a baby gate with ease. He loves hiking and is accustomed to long daily walks. Because he’s smart, he also does well with training and brain teaser toys. The only reason he is being rehomed is because he is obsessed with our cats and will not leave them alone. We’ve worked closely with a force-free trainer, and he just wants to chase them all the time. The cats are miserable. Scout would do very well in a home with other dog(s) and I suspect would prefer it. He does have separation anxiety and will do best with another dog or a home where owners aren’t gone a lot.

Story
Hi! This is Smokey, he’s a super friendly loving dog just looking for a family to love. He seems to like everyone he meets. He’s done great with kids and other dogs. He’s also very food oriented, so he seems like he would be easy to teach tricks. He is potty trained and crate trained. He loves walking and will go wherever you want. We took him in to help out a rescue, but our dog does not like sharing and hasn’t done well. Smokey for his part, has handled it all well. He has tried to fit in and give our other dog his space. It’s no fault of his this isn’t working out. So we’d love to find Smokey a home of his own, where he can chew a bone or play with his people. He also loves being petted and just laying near his people. I’d love to tell you more about him or answer any questions.

Story
Meet Balto! This senior fellow came to Helping Paws from the shelter with a bum back leg. We had him checked out by our vets and it was discovered that he has old ligament damage to that knee. That doesn't slow him down, though! Now that he has pain meds to be given as needed, he is a happy boy! He does well with other dogs and ignores the cats in his foster home. He is all Husky for sure, so people with breed experience would be preferred, but not required. He hasn't been around a lot of kids, but he is friendly with people. We suggest older children because he does occasionally take treats pretty roughly and we wouldn't want little fingers to be bitten. He is house trained and crate trained! He loves to curl up on the couch and nap, like any older gentleman would :) Balto's adoption fee is $200 and with that he comes neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He's also been on heartworm and flea prevention. Interested in meeting him? Visit www.helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application
