Story
Chevelle is a young, about 3 yrs old, female husky shepherd mix.  She is full of animation.  If her blue eyes don't put a smile on your face, then her liveliness certainly will.  Chevelle is fully potty trained and crate trained.  She has amazing recall to come inside (clearly from the shepherd) and understand basic commands.  She has not chewed or destroyed anything when left to wander the house.  Chevelle will get the zoomies when playing with other dogs, but the husky in her will get a bit vocal when first introducing her to new dogs.  She has not been tested with cats.  And she would do best with older children as her zoomies may not do well with toddlers.  As a husky she does have a lot of fur that will need to be maintained on a regular basis.  She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 To adopt Chevelle, email us at kakf3133@gmail.comNovember 27, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Rocket was born in August 2024.  At about 20lbs she can run like the wind.  She would require a fenced yard to give her ample space to expel her puppy energy.  Rocket gets along with dogs quickly but needs some work on understanding personal space of the other dogs.  She just wants them all to be her friend!  Rocket would do well with kids above toddler age.  She is training on no jumping which may knock younger children down.  Luckily, she has been a quick learner!  She would be an intriguing DNA test given the variety of breeds she looks to be mixed with.  Rocket is quickly picking up potty training by using a bell on the door.  She loves playing with toys and has shown no signs of chewing.  She has not been introduced to cats, but may be too much energy for certain cats.  Rocket is fixed and up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $600 To adopt Rocket, email us at kakf3133@gmail.comJanuary 27, 2025, 11:01 am

Story
Meet Kal El! Male Husky/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix About 2 years old About 65lbs Hi, I’m Kal El but my friends call me Kal. I spent several months in the shelter and was overlooked for all those cute little dogs and puppies. I am looking for a Forever fa that loves me almost as much as I love them. I’ve been told that I’m a big DERP! I love to run and play and need a home that has a backyard for me to run. I’m a pretty quiet guy and don’t bark all that much, unless you are ignoring me and then I will “talk” to you like most Huskies to let you know I’d like attention. Since I was in the shelter and didn’t get much opportunity to stretch my legs, I’ve been known to have a need for speed and zoomies are my jam! I’m pretty strong on a leash and am learning not to pull…but there’s so much to explore, sometimes I forget. With continued training, I’m going to be a master of the leash in no time. When I chill out, I’m very cuddly and like affection. I know the sit command and will sit for a treat, most of the time, unless I get distract…SQUIRREL! I take treats very gently too! I like to play “tug” and I know when my mouth gets too close to your fingers and am gentle with my mouth. But don’t be fooled, I play a hard game of tug and won’t let you win just because you’re a human. I’m a “Superman” for sure and if you’re not a DC fan, you should also know that I’m absolutely “MARVELous”…see what I did there? Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. Story
Looking for an Forever or Foster Home ASAP for Napoleon! Due to unforeseen medical challenges in his current foster family, sweet Napoleon urgently needs a new foster or forever home where he can continue to thrive. This decision comes with heavy hearts, as it is through no fault of his own. Napoleon is a stunning red Alaskan Husky and Malamute mix, approximately 5–6 years old and weighing 55–60 pounds. With his affectionate, playful, and dignified personality, he is truly a one-of-a-kind companion. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children, making him an ideal addition to a loving family. This sweet boy is fully housebroken and incredibly respectful indoors. He sleeps soundly on a dog bed and enjoys relaxing near his people. Napoleon is also a great travel buddy, loving car rides and settling down quickly for trips. He’s playful and engaging, thriving on activities that keep his mind busy, like chewing on bones or playing with toys. Napoleon’s food motivation makes him eager to please and an excellent candidate for continued training. Napoleon has had an incredible journey of resilience and recovery. He arrived from Texas underweight and in need of care. After undergoing surgery for entropion, a common eye condition, he has fully healed and is ready to bring his charm and those striking blue eyes to a new home. Currently, he’s working on his leash manners and improving every day. With consistent training and his love for treats, this is a great opportunity to bond with him. Napoleon would thrive in a home that provides plenty of affection, playtime, and companionship. If you’re interested in adopting or fostering Napoleon, please reach out immediately. He’s ready to share his love, joy, and playful spirit with the family he’s been waiting for. Story
Looking for a home for this lonely sweet boy. His name is Balto. He belonged to my father who has sadly passed away. He is a fixed senior husky and is all caught up on his shots. He does not do well with other male dogs or cats. He tolerates children but does not like people in his face so I would recommend a home without young children. Would really love to see him go to a loving home. I just do not have the time or space he would need to give him the home he deserves. He is located in Baileyville Illinois.
