Story
Baraka will be 7 years old in October. My husband and I adopted him from a husky breeder in Southern Illinios as a puppy. We are looking for a new home due to our female Akita attacking him multiple times in the past 2 years. We are not able to provide a safe and supportive environment for both dogs to thrive. Baraka loves attention from family and strangers regardless of age. He does experience separation anxiety, which has been exacerbated by getting limited time in our home since we have to keep our dogs sperated at all times. He would do best in a home with a young family or someone who has the time and energy to playfully interact with him, and take him for long walks. He has slowed down in the past couple of years, but he does still pull a bit while on walks as most huskies do. He has a prey drive that would make him not suitable to living with cats. He hasn't shown aggression towards dogs, although he may be weary of other dogs now since being attacked by our female dog.
