Story
Dama is an adorable paraplegic husky pup who is ready to find her forever home! Dama was our very first paraplegic SAYv. This gorgeous girl was rescued by an amazing family from Mexico. They saw this cute baby husky in a wooded area and couldn't leave her there to fend for herself. They got her vaccinated and ready to come to the U.S. Once here, the family searched around for a rescue to take her in... time was running out. When we saw her being shared, we were immediately drawn to Dama's story. Thankfully we had an amazing foster that agreed to step up to the challenge which allowed us to say YES. Dama has been getting the royal treatment in her current foster home. She loves her swim lessons and therapy sessions - they keep her limber and mobile. Dama came rolling into rescue like she was on fire. She is a gorgeous husky puppy girl who loves all people and animals. She is always down for a good play time and loves to tell you about her day. Dama would do best in a house with another playful dog. Even though she is in go mode a lot, she does love a good bone and chill time. Don't let her cart worry you, because she doesn't let it hold her back. She just needs her bladder expressed a few times a day to make sure it's empty. Then she's good to go! We know that having a paraplegic dog isn't the easiest thing in the world, but we promise, we will explain EVERYTHING and give you the support you need to allow this girl to fit into your family perfectly

Story
Introducing Aegon, an eight month old Husky that was found as a stray and sadly, no one came forward for him. He's a pretty bouncy boy and has all the characteristics of the beloved (and wild) Husky breed. He loves a mischief, loves to run and frolic on his walks, and playtime is a must with his companions to exert his energy. Aegon didn't seem to care for cats so a slow introduction is needed as he may chase them. He loves toys like tennis balls and squeakers. We love his two different colored eyes, especially that one is multi colored. He has stunning Husky features like a unique coat, fluffy curly tail, and icy blue/soft brown eyes. Yes, he is gorgeous and absolutely a doll but he is also a Husky. Huskies like to run and need to be worked with. They like to go on long walks, can play for hours, and have the sassiest attitudes on top of everything. Aegon is doing well at the shelter and is very affectionate but don't let his looks fool you. He has all the Husky attitude and sass. Huskies can be on a whole other level at times but with discipline, exercise, and training, they can be very rewarding and great companions! His adoption fee is $235, which includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, heartworm test, current flea/heartworm prevention, registered microchip, and neuter.

Story
Meet Helaena, our favorite dragon rider! Helaena is about one year old and gets along great with her Husky clan, Aegon & Jaehaerys. She loves to sit pretty and earn her biscuits. Helaena will happily greet you at the front of her cage with her wagging tails and Husky grin. We aren't sure how no one came looking for her as she was found loose in the Joliet area. She hopes to find someone that can provide the mental and physical exercise she craves and needs. Yes she is gorgeous and absolutely a doll but she is also a Husky. Huskies like to run and need to be worked with. They like to go on long walks, can play for hours, and have the sassiest attitudes on top of everything. Helaena is doing well at the shelter and is very affectionate but don't let her looks fool you. She has all the Husky attitude and sass. Huskies can be on a whole other level at times but with discipline, exercise, and training, they can be very rewarding and great companions! DO YOUR RESEARCH! Her adoption fee is $235, which includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, heartworm test, current flea/heartworm prevention, registered microchip, and spay.

Story
Looking for a bundle of joy to add to your family? Look no further! This adorable Husky/Heeler mix named Violet is overflowing with energy and enthusiasm, ready to bring endless love and fun into your home. She was born around 9/1/23. Energetic & Playful: This little ball of fur is always ready for playtime! Whether it's fetch in the backyard or a game of tug-of-war, Violet will keep you entertained for hours with her boundless energy and playful spirit. Learning to Walk on a Leash: With each step, Violet is mastering the art of walking on a leash. A fenced yard would be optimal so Violet can take it at her own pace to learn her leash manners. Good with Other Dogs: Violet gets along famously with other dogs. In fact, we prefer she goes to a home with another dog. She really thrives with another dog to play with and show her the ropes. She can be a little shy at first, so we do think a home with older kids would be best. She has not shown any aggression, she just prefers to take it slow at first and build trust. Starfish would be happy to cover a session with our Positive Reinforcement training team (A Sound Beginning Training) to help Violet get off on the right foot! Has not been exposed to cats as of yet. Crate Trained: Need some downtime? Violet is already crate trained! Don't miss out on the opportunity to welcome this lovable bundle of joy into your home! She will be worth it and bonds strongly. Story
***THIS PET IS NOT AT OSWEGO ANIMAL HOSPITAL, BUT IN A FOSTER HOME. PLEASE EMAIL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET HER!!!*** Meet Grizzly! AKA Clark Grizzwold (she is a girl of many nicknames already). Grizzly is a sweet and sassy, playful and vocal Husky mix who was brought to us after she was left behind at a local campground when a resident was moving. The neighbors took the three sisters in but had to find placement so we stepped in to help. They are approximately 8 months old, and are primarily Husky but we can't help but feel like there is something else there... maybe Pom? Aussie? we honestly don't have the slightest clue. BUT, what we do know is that Grizzly is a nice medium sized dog, typical husky coat and a tongue "blep" to die for. She is almost 100% potty trained, just needs some guidance and can't have complete run of the house yet if not supervised. She is crate trained and crates well when her foster is at work and over night. She gets along with all 6 of her foster moms dogs (from 40 lbs to 125 lbs, males and females). Grizzly is VOCAL. She is likely not a good choice for an apartment, or townhome, unless you have thick walls. She is quiet in the crate but barks once she knows people are up and moving, if she needs something or if she is excited. It is not surprising because of her breed mix but we want everyone to be aware before adopting. She would be a great dog for outdoor adventures and dog friends. She and her sister are still in the same foster home, but we feel it is likely in their best interest to be separated due to possible lifelong sibling syndrome, unless someone was VERY committed to the two girls to go together. Their third sister is in a separate foster home already and doing great. Grizzly's adoption fee is $350 and includes her spay, vaccinations, microchip and fecal/heartworm testing. Please email helpsavepetsapps@gmail.com for more information or to set up a meet and greet.
