Story
Dama is an adorable paraplegic husky pup who is ready to find her forever home! Dama was our very first paraplegic SAYv. This gorgeous girl was rescued by an amazing family from Mexico. They saw this cute baby husky in a wooded area and couldn't leave her there to fend for herself. They got her vaccinated and ready to come to the U.S. Once here, the family searched around for a rescue to take her in... time was running out. When we saw her being shared, we were immediately drawn to Dama's story. Thankfully we had an amazing foster that agreed to step up to the challenge which allowed us to say YES. Dama has been getting the royal treatment in her current foster home. She loves her swim lessons and therapy sessions - they keep her limber and mobile. Dama came rolling into rescue like she was on fire. She is a gorgeous husky puppy girl who loves all people and animals. She is always down for a good play time and loves to tell you about her day. Dama would do best in a house with another playful dog. Even though she is in go mode a lot, she does love a good bone and chill time. Don't let her cart worry you, because she doesn't let it hold her back. She just needs her bladder expressed a few times a day to make sure it's empty. Then she's good to go! We know that having a paraplegic dog isn't the easiest thing in the world, but we promise, we will explain EVERYTHING and give you the support you need to allow this girl to fit into your family perfectly

Story
Meet Lluvia, a 2 year old Husky who was given up to us for doing what huskies do, trying to run away! She's an active and smart girl who knows her basic commands and just needs a Husky saavy home where she can run and get all the exercise her little heart desires! Lluvia lived most of her life outside and can't wait to learn the joy of living indoors as part of a family! Lluvia tends to not share her food or toys, she will need a home with no small children or small animals. This girl is the definition of beautiful with her Snow White coat and sparkling blue eyes. We can't wait to see this girl live her best life- can that be with you?!

Story
This lovable, lively, 7-month-old girl looks and acts like an Australian Kelpie, but we just got her DNA results back and she's Husky, Labrador, Pomeranian, and Australian Shepherd. Ashlee was “bought” on the street after being separated from her mom at 6 wks., then spent most of her time alone in a garage or on a patio basically raising herself. Since coming to our home a little over 3 months ago she’s had a couple senior furry “mentors” and with the guidance of a professional trainer and daily reinforcements we’ve been able to undo bad behavior and learn the good stuff below: -sit, down, stay, off, high five, leave it, do business -will “sit-stay” while you’re opening a door -how to get treats out a puzzle -catches treats mid-air -takes a treat gently from your hand. -gives “smoochies” -walks great on a leash -doesn’t need to be crated, but doesn’t mind either -doesn't chew furniture -only jumps on the couch for a short stay -housebroken, uses bells on door handle to alert you when she needs to go out -eats 3 x’s a day instead of graze feeding -”get it, bring it, drop it”, well...still working on this Incredibly intelligent and fast-learner, we think she would be an awesome agility, arson, or K-9 cop candidate as she loves to work and has an incredible sense of smell! Due to her young age, she will do best in a home with someone home most of the day, kids over 10 and an would get along with an active K-9 playmate. A fenced yard is a must for her twice a day case of the Zoomies. Applicants should be familiar with training pups or willing to work with a professional trainer, this is essential. If you would like to be considered as her adopter, please contact Cheryl at: marcher6054@yahoo.com for a pre-adoption application.

Story
Meet Bear! Bear spent his whole life with a family. Unfortunately he was hit by a car and his family couldn’t afford the care needed to save him. A shelter stepped up to do the surgery, but in an overcrowded shelter, healing was not going well. Bear was pulled by Traveling Tails and has been in a foster home in Indianapolis ever since. Bear is a one-year-old handsome Husky mix with eyes that will melt your heart. He weighs 53 lbs. He has the Husky personality – playful, friendly and super-smart. I have been fostering Bear for about 3 months as he recovers from a broken leg after being hit by a vehicle. It has been a (need an adjective here-what kind of journey) journey and he has been amazing through all of it. Bear wants to be with his people - he will follow you from room to room or stay by your side when working or watching TV. He will let you know when he wants to play, go out to potty or just needs some loving. When he wants loving, he with just lay on you or at least try. None of these behaviors are all the time.  He definitely has energy that will only get greater as his mobility improves. Bear will thrive with an active family.  He loves human interaction and should not be left alone for long periods of time every day.  He would be best suited for a family who will regularly take him for hikes and walks in parks. He travels in cars well. A secure yard is a must.  Bear would enjoy time outside, playing fetch with his family.  Bear is currently afraid of moving vehicles, especially trucks, so the ideal home would be on a quiet street.  Patience will be required at first – gradually increasing activity as Bear regains strength and mobility in his injured Bear is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. As his leg continue to heals, a team of doctors is closely watching to see if an amputation will be necessary instead of their current plan. We are seeking a special needs adopter for Bear. Vetting will be covered by the rescue until medically cleared by the vet when he is healed. He is currently in Indianapolis but can be transported to his perfect adopter.
