Story
Meet Pop Tart – sweet, a little flaky in the best way, and guaranteed to brighten your morning. This Chicago gal’s got main character energy from the jump - bouncin’ through life like she’s late for the 151 bus but still stoppin’ to say hi to every person and pup along the way. Pop Tart’s the full package: dog-friendly, kid-approved, and sweeter than a box of Stan’s donuts on a Sunday. She’s got that perfect mix of spunk and snuggle, always ready to play but just as happy to crash on the couch and watch the game with ya. If you’re lookin’ for a young, fun, no-drama kinda girl who’s equal parts deep-dish heart and sugar-coated joy - Pop Tart’s your Chicago original. Grab your coat, lace up those sneakers, and come meet the girl who’s too sweet to pass up. ❤️🐾

Story
Hi, I`m Shane! I`m a 7 month old pup with good looks, good manners and just the right amount of moxy. If you`re looking for a fun sidekick who`s equal parts playful and smart, you might want to keep reading. I`m a medium sized guy with medium energy, which means I`m always up for a good time but I`m not bouncing off the walls all day. I love playing with other dogs and I`m a polite player who tends to be on the submissive side, so I`m great at keeping the peace. Besides being ridiculously handsome, I`m also a smart cookie. I know how to be in a home, and training sounds like a lot of fun to me because I like to have a job to do. Teach me things, give me puzzles or take me on a sniffari- I`m ready to impress you. My new home can have people of all ages, other dogs, and any cats in the home should be dog savvy. Send in an application today!

Story
Introducing MAX, a 1 year old, 36 pound, VERY special Husky mix. When Max was around 8 weeks old he became the sole survivor of a house fire where he suffered terrible burns on his back, legs, and tips of his ears; it took him about 9 months for his skin to regrow and heal. He will likely never have fur in some areas so he needs a coat for protection in the cold and will likely need protection of his skin from the sun in warmer weather. Please don’t let that dissuade you from considering this wonderful dog! Max is such a sweet and loving dog who doesn’t have a mean bone in his body! He is very affectionate and loves to be hugged and petted. Because he genuinely seems happiest when another dog plays with him, we are seeking adopters that have another playful dog in the home. Max may be a little too much for some small dogs, especially older ones but his best buddy is playful Shih Tzu/Bichon mix named Bogie - who loves to play chase with Max in the yard. Inside the home, Max is calm and easy going. He is happy to chew and play with his Nylabones and Kong Chews for hours and is quite good at “self entertainment.” Max cannot be crated so his foster mom uses an inside dog pen when she goes to work. True to his Husky lineage, Max will serenade you when he wants to go outside or wants to eat. He still has some puppy characteristics so proper puppy proofing will be important in the home. Max would do best in an adoptive home with another dog or multiple dogs AND someone who is home more and who will take him for daily walks and have deliberate play-time with him. He is a smart dog who would excel at different types of training. Max will require a high fence as he can easily jump over a 5 foot fence. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, tested for diseases, provided inoculations, treated for burns, been dewormed, neutered, and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS are available upon request from acaringplace@comcast.net.  Our online application isn’t working correctly so please contact us so we can send a copy via email to you. A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and puppies live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements. We are always in search of fosters care providers. If you are one of those special people willing to open your heart and home to an animal in need and would like to receive information on how you can foster an animal, please contact us.     March 17, 2026, 12:06 am

Story
Keegan is a young bouncy boy who is as nice as he is energetic. While it was pretty apparent when he came in to us that he was not given a lot of training in his previous home, he obviously was loved as he has a great personality and is a very loving boy. He is a diamond in the rough kind of dog-he needs to learn some manners (and he is a quick learner) but with an active home that will give him exercise and structure, he'll be a well trained boy in no time. Keegan is good with other dogs and great with people. He might knock over little ones in the home so until he is a bit more trained, older kids are probably best.

Story
We do not know why the sweetest, nicest, most outgoing friendly dogs are always the ones that come in injured, but Pinga is no exception to this. She was found by the side of the road with a badly injured leg. No one claimed her and she was taken to animal control who called us. Unfortunately amputation was the recommendation. She sailed through surgery and has already figured out how to navigate the world on three legs. She runs and does the zoomies just as well as she did when she had 4 legs and her absolutely charming personality has not changed a bit. Her nickname at her foster home is Thumper because even before surgery, when she mainly laid on her doggie bed, any time she saw a human or you talked to her, her tail went wild and thumped against the wall, the bed, the floor. She is just such a happy girl! Pinga gets along great with other dogs and adores children. There is not a human alive she does not think should pet her and become her best friend. We would prefer a home that has an outdoor access without steps as we'd want to be careful with her on ice, but that is the only limitation she has. She has already figured out steps, so we are not too worried about her going up indoor stairs to a bedroom for example. Of course she tries to fly up and down them. This girl is not missing that leg at all! She is house trained and crate trained and is ready to find her forever family.

Story
Foxy is as sweet as she is gorgeous. She came in with another Siberian-Freya-when their owners surrendered them to a high volume facility. As sad as that is that they ended up there, it is obvious from her socialization and manners that she was a loved member of the family. Foxy can be a little wary at first meeting, especially with me, but after a bit warms up. She is good with older kids but is a bit overwhelmed with youngsters. Foxy gets along well with other dogs, is house trained and crate trained. She is past the crazy puppy energy stage but she is still an active girl. If you are looking for a walking partner or someone to keep you company, apply for Foxy now!
