Introducing MAX, a 1 year old, 36 pound, VERY special Husky mix. When Max was around 8 weeks old he became the sole survivor of a house fire where he suffered terrible burns on his back, legs, and tips of his ears; it took him about 9 months for his skin to regrow and heal. He will likely never have fur in some areas so he needs a coat for protection in the cold and will likely need protection of his skin from the sun in warmer weather. Please don’t let that dissuade you from considering this wonderful dog! Max is such a sweet and loving dog who doesn’t have a mean bone in his body! He is very affectionate and loves to be hugged and petted. Because he genuinely seems happiest when another dog plays with him, we are seeking adopters that have another playful dog in the home. Max may be a little too much for some small dogs, especially older ones but his best buddy is playful Shih Tzu/Bichon mix named Bogie - who loves to play chase with Max in the yard. Inside the home, Max is calm and easy going. He is happy to chew and play with his Nylabones and Kong Chews for hours and is quite good at “self entertainment.” Max cannot be crated so his foster mom uses an inside dog pen when she goes to work. True to his Husky lineage, Max will serenade you when he wants to go outside or wants to eat. He still has some puppy characteristics so proper puppy proofing will be important in the home. Max would do best in an adoptive home with another dog or multiple dogs AND someone who is home more and who will take him for daily walks and have deliberate play-time with him. He is a smart dog who would excel at different types of training. Max will require a high fence as he can easily jump over a 5 foot fence. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, tested for diseases, provided inoculations, treated for burns, been dewormed, neutered, and microchipped. Chase is an amazing husky, super kind, friendly and loving. He was good with our other two kids but unfortunately with my newest baby he has been growiling at him and hasn’t been wanting to be near him. Out of extra precaution, since it has happened a lot we are choosing to rehome him so he is not isolated from us for majority of the day.

Hi, I`m Shane! I`m a 7 month old pup with good looks, good manners and just the right amount of moxy. If you`re looking for a fun sidekick who`s equal parts playful and smart, you might want to keep reading. I`m a medium sized guy with medium energy, which means I`m always up for a good time but I`m not bouncing off the walls all day. I love playing with other dogs and I`m a polite player who tends to be on the submissive side, so I`m great at keeping the peace. Besides being ridiculously handsome, I`m also a smart cookie. Hello, This pains me to write this because I raised my dog since she was weeks old. We have an 8 year old spayed female Husky (from a breeder) great with adults/dogs, not safe with young children anymore. We have a toddler and a baby due soon. My wife was working from home for the federal government, but lost that job due to the DOGE cuts. She now has to go in to the office full time on most days and I have always had an unpredictable timing in-office job as a general dentist. Being crated all-day most days is not the life for a husky, on top of our concerns of behavior not fit for young children. Our husky is dog-friendly, trained, potty trained indoors and outdoors, able to ring a bell for pottying, fully vaccinated under Banfield's recommended schedule, and medically stable with daily medication (only for some urinary incontinence). She really enjoys going to doggie day care to "play with friends". We can provide all current supplies, crate, leashes and food/treat stores we have.
