Story
This handsome guy is Bear. Bear is approximately 1-1/2 years old and believed to be a shepherd mix. He has the exact look and personality traits of the Berger Picard, a rare French shepherd type dog. He is currently 42 pounds but needs to gain a couple more. Bear is such a lovebug and just the sweetest boy. He loves everyone and wants to be close to his people. Bear loves chew bones, toys, lots of treats and loves to play with the dogs in his foster home. He plays a little rough with the dogs as he is just learning how to play with other dogs. He is doing better every day with some correction. We are unsure how Bear would do with cats as there are no cats in his foster home.   Bear does pretty well with the basic commands sit, stay, no, come, off, down and heel. He loves to please, especially if treats are involved. He walks well on leash with a harness and some reminders. Bear is kennel trained but doesn’t like being in the kennel when his people are around. He appears to be potty trained with no accidents in his foster home, however, his foster dad is home during the day and keeps Bear on a consistent potty schedule. Bear sleeps all night in his foster parents room on a doggie bed and doesn’t make a peep. Of course, he would rather sleep in the bed with them if it was allowed. There have been no issues with Bear chewing on things that are not his, however, he has tried counter-surfing a couple of times. We are currently working to correct his counter-surfing. Bear is an excellent boy, but will need attention, continued training and consistency to grow into an amazing family companion. Bear’s adoption fee is $300 and covers his neuter, vaccines including rabies, microchip registration and heartworm and flea preventatives to date. Story
Lupin-Siberian Husky. Born March 2021. Around 50lbs. Up to date on all vaccines. On monthly heartworm & flea/tick prevention. Rabies & Distemper/Parvo not due until March 2027. Require a grain-free diet. We are his second home. We got him from a family with a baby that he showed aggression towards. We are rehoming him bc we are now expecting & do not want to take the risk. We have had him for 3 years and he is around my 10 yr old nephew frequently & is perfectly friendly to him. I think he would be fine in a home w/ older children. He has been to dog parks and does well with other dogs that are his size or bigger. He would not do well in a home with any small pets. He has been the only pet weve had, so he is used to being the only dog. Is house trained. Knows basic commands- sit, down, come, shake, stay, off. Crated when we have company, but not at night or when we leave. He does not like being groomed. We will give everything we have for him to his new home.

Story
This is Freckle. Freckle is a young husky so she`s fond of mischief. Freckle loves to be active, sneak snacks out of the breakroom, and shed all over the staff (oopsie). This girl is ready to take on the world with a new family! She came in as a stray, so we don`t know a lot about her but can`t wait to find out more!

Story
Meet Syrena, the pup who’s been dreaming of her forever home for far too long! This 10-month-old, 40-pound Husky mix is a bundle of joy wrapped in a soft, fluffy coat. Syrena's playful spirit will brighten even the gloomiest of days. She loves romping with doggy friends, splashing in her pool, and playing hide-and-seek with her favorite squeaky ball. When it’s time to relax, you’ll find her soaking up the sun in a fenced yard, her happy place for unwinding. While Syrena may take a little time to warm up to new people, her confidence blossoms with a canine companion by her side. A fenced yard and another dog are must-haves in her forever home, helping her feel secure as she adjusts to new adventures. Syrena does best in a home with older kids (8+), as quick movements can make her nervous. With hardwood floors and a doggy door she’s accident-free, but carpet is a little confusing for her—she sometimes mistakes it for grass. She’s also a fantastic walking buddy, loving both leisurely strolls and brisk hikes. Her calm demeanor and focus make her the perfect partner for outdoor adventures. Syrena will thrive with someone who is home more often than not, offering her the companionship and routine she craves. She’s affectionate, fun-loving, and eager to bring joy to a family who will appreciate her gentle yet playful nature. Are you ready to give Syrena the forever family she’s been patiently waiting for? Her minimum adoption fee is $195, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents (if 4 months or older). She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
