Story
Hi there, I`m Goldilocks! Not the one who broke into the bears` house, though I did have a similar incident with a squirrel`s acorn stash. Let`s just say, squirrels are surprisingly territorial. I`m friendly, sweet, and cuddly, but also curious and smart. I`ve been told I have a nose for trouble, but I prefer to call it adventure! I`m not looking for porridge or beds to test, just a forever family who appreciates my unique brand of canine comedy. I promise to fill your life with laughter, love, and the occasional misplaced acorn. Adopt me, and let`s create our own happily ever after!

Story
Meet Yoli, a young dog full of love and energy. She's a playful, curious, and gentle soul who's sure to bring joy to any household. Her sweet, friendly demeanor makes her a wonderful companion for kids and she gets along splendidly with other dogs. She's also a bit of a goofball, her antics will have you laughing and her cuddly nature will melt your heart. Yoli is housetrained and would love/require a home with a fenced-in yard to explore. However, she's not a good fit for a home with cats. Yoli is a dog that deserves a loving family who will appreciate her playful energy and sweet nature. She's ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and lots of cuddles. Yoli weighs 57lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 08/22/2022), and her adoption fee is $305. Story
Meet Leah, a young, brave, and energetic shelter pup. She's playful, always ready for a game of fetch or a tug-of-war. When she's not running around, she's a cuddle bug, always seeking the warmth of a friendly lap. Leah's sweet nature is infectious; she's always wagging her tail and giving out free kisses. She's also curious and smart, always eager to learn new tricks. Leah is a loyal companion, who forms deep bonds with her humans. She's selective with her dog friends and prefers a home without cats. Leah is good with kids, making her a perfect addition to a family. She needs a fenced yard to safely expend her energy and experienced owners who can guide her. Adopt Leah, not just because she's an amazing dog, but because she will make your life richer with her love and loyalty. Leah weighs 52lbs., is approximately 3 years old (est. birth date 02/01/2021), and her adoption fee is $305. Story
Adopted pet from Gwinnett Animal Shelter. She is too energetic for us. She is 3 years old and at the time we were told she was 6-year-old. We had lost our other dog in January and wanted more of a lap dog for companionship. She would be a great dog for a runner or possibly a hiker. She loves the outdoors and runs like a greyhound. She is loving but has too much puppy. She has been trained in the basic commands. We feel like we are doing a disservice to her.

Story
Little Guy is a sweet, spoiled boy that likes nothing better than spending time with his people. He would be a wonderful pup to go hiking with on leash. He and his brother, Dozer, are avid critter chasers and will dig after those critters if not watched. The Husky in him means he needs to stay on a leash but the lab does calm him down some. He still has a lot of puppy in him but has outgrown the worst puppy traits. He also doesn’t mind his crate for short periods and sees it as a safe spot to take a nap. He loves children but may be a bit much for some very small children. He loves to give kisses and attention and small children are the right size to be face to face for those kisses. He also thinks he is a lap dog at times and loves snuggling on the couch. Little Guy can be a little shy around other new dogs and may take a little warming up, he has been around many different foster dogs though. He is on the smaller size, thus his name. If you are looking for a very loyal, loving smaller sized pup then Little Guy may be the perfect addition to your family. The boys have had all of their vaccines, been microchipped and neutered and on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. If you are interested, please fill out an application at www.mushrescue.com or email adopt@mushrescue.com with any questions.

Story
Noel is our special needs girl but we know she has the perfect home out there. She has been diagnosed with a neurological condition that causes her to walk a little differently on occasion and affects her temperament periodically. Noel is expected to live a long happy life, her diagnosis does not impact her life expectancy. She can be somewhat unpredictable and was unsocialized as a puppy so needs to be an only dog in the house. Noel loves her food and her sleep and doesn’t like to be bothered during those times. She is housebroken and crate trained, she LOVES her crate. Noel’s new family would be required to have a fenced yard as she loves to run. They would also be required to provide her with endless toys! She loves loves loves her toys and doesn’t shred them, rather treats them like her babies. Noel will need to have annual neurological exams. She’s a sweet girl and deserves a home of her own. She is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. For more information, please email adopt@mushrescue.com or complete an application https://mushrescue.com/prospective-owner-application/

Story
Meet the twin girls, Sydney and Sammie. They are 11 months old and just the sweetest. They are vaccinated, chipped, and spayed. Fostered in Williamson, Ga Sydney (larger) and Sammie (smaller with a scar under the eye) are the sweetest little duo, at just a year old they're the gentlest little girls. The way their little curly tails spin in the opposite direction is too cute. Petite and playful, they love each other more than anything else in the world! They don't pull on a leash but don't expect too many straight lines. They take food gently and are fantastic with all 5 of our young children. They go running in the yard with the 8 and 3-year-olds and sit around with the infants crawling around them. They handle the loud and crazy environment that is a household always full of children very well. They love meeting new people and new dogs and have excellent manners, as long as you don't mind extra kisses. Syd is a little more bold and Sam is a little more shy, but they balance one another so well. They share an extra large (52") crate at night and have been accident-free in the crate all of their time with us. They do need help remembering that the inside of the house is a potty-free zone too as most of their lives were spent confined outdoors. They learn so quickly, though! They love a fluffy toy and they love to shred them! These girls will have you laughing at their little faces and bright personalities while filling you with all the fluffy love they have to offer. They're truly appreciative of their humans and are just happy to be along for the ride, as long as that ride is with their sister. They really are a package deal and don't even care for quick times apart.  Sydney (Siddy) and Sammie (Samsam) have so much love to give! They would do best in a family with energy to play or walk or children to run with. They do well in a fenced-in yard and will do great with more leash practice. They love other dogs but don't "need" them. They're equally happy ignoring the other dogs outside with them and just playing with one another.  The girls are currently fostered with 7 other dogs ranging in size from 13 to 80 lbs. They have done ok with the smallest dogs but do have a high prey drive and haven't spent a lot of time with them.  Unsure about cats.  No known medical issues, not picky with dog food, and haven't had sensitive stomachs, up to date on flea/heartworm meds and routine care. Questions can be sent to adopt@mushrescue.com Application: https://mushrescue.com/prospective-owner-application/

Story
Meet Smokey! Smokey is our adorable tri-colored, short-haired puppy. He is housebroken, loves cuddles, walks, and relaxing with his person. He’s good with kids and dogs and comfortable with cats for the most part. He’s leash-trained and can easily handle a 2-mile walk. He can handle being home by himself for at least 6 hours if need be without whining or crying and having toys, food and a potty break before being left alone. He is crate trained but is rarely ever in the crate since he does very well by himself. Smokey is honestly one of the sweetest well-behaved dogs you’ll ever meet. It doesn’t take him long at all to learn and remember commands either and you’ll get the perfect balance of playful and chill when it comes to Smokey matching his person’s energy. Story
Meet Max! Max is one of the seven puppies that were rescued from the streets of Jackson County. We estimate that he is between 11 and 13 weeks old. He is nearly fully housebroken and crate trained. Max can sit and we are also training him to leave things. He gets along well with other dogs and has seen cats, but hasn't had much exposure to them. He has beautiful eyes! One is light greenish in color, and the other is greenish-brown. Max loves to snuggle and is as sweet as can be! Please be aware that we receive a high volume of applications and appreciate your patience as we process them. We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. To complete the adoption process, you will need to fill out an application, participate in a pet meet-and-greet, undergo a home visit, and have a strong veterinary/animal care history. The adoptive family will also need to ensure that Max receives his puppy shots and provide proof of spaying/neutering if it has not been done before adoption. Raising a puppy demands a significant amount of time and commitment. Please ensure that your schedule can accommodate a puppy, as it will be a cherished member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. For further information, please email adopt@mushrescue.com or complete an application at http://www.mushrescue.com/prospective-owner-application.html.
