We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Nieve is my little 16 month old white Husky, she came home 1 year and 3 months ago (she was born in October 2023) her parents are white Huskies, my family and I have been first time getting a dog and it was a Christmas gift for my daughter (and the responsibility has been mostly mine), however we have not been prepared to educate Nieve, we do not know strategies and how to do it and previously she was free in the yard where she ran and played but we have moved to a house that does not have a fence and she is in adaptation and we really do not know how to handle the situation another factor is that in a short time I will have surgery and I will not be able to take care of her. Nieve is very sweet and playful and loves petting, she will be a great pet for someone who dedicates time to her and can give her a lot of love and training. She has her vaccines up to date and the next set of vaccines are needed starting in February and March, she has never been sick
