Story
Hey, what’s up, HELLO! My name is Zuko. Everyone around town calls me an handsome man who is 6-years-YOUNG. I’m a pure bread Siberian Husky. I weigh about 90 lbs and have a pretty trim figure. My foster mom says I’m a couch potato. She thinks I’d do okay with kids but I really like to stalk cats so I’d be better in a house without them. Since I’ve lived in my foster house I’ve been told I’m a really sweet boy, whatever that means. I’m just here for the foods and snuggles. Oh, and the walks. And the things called car rides? I LOVE those. I’m a bit of a protective guy - a little selective with other fur friends especially when we’re on leashes, but I warm up to “the outsiders” pretty quickly. After all, the human ones have hands that will pet me and the fur ones will play with me! My very best tricks are “sit” and “down.” My foster mom makes me sit and “wait” when she sets my food down - I’m getting good at this, too. I’m looking for a comfy place to chill out. ZUKO - XOXO 🐾

Story
Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process and to complete a foster/adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoptable-pets/karla Karla is a friendly and amiable canine companion who interacts well with people of all ages, as well as other animals. While she possesses a playful nature, she generally maintains a calm demeanor. She enjoys walks and car rides, exhibits excellent leash manners, and travels well in a vehicle. She is affectionate, preferring to stretch out while sleeping, and enjoys chewing on bones and treats, although she can be selective about her food. As a husky, she vocalizes, but her vocalizations are not excessive. She is reliably house-trained and prefers unsupervised time, though she does exhibit some anxiety during thunderstorms, seeking proximity and comfort. It is important to note that she is sensitive about having her rear end and paws handled, though she expresses this discomfort without aggression. Karla embodies the appealing qualities often associated with huskies, making her an exceptional canine companion. She is well-trained, responding to commands such as sit, down, stay, and shake. However, it is important to acknowledge that she sheds extensively. She will be in our care late January 2025. Located in Pinellas County, Florida.

Story
Hi-My name is Camilia.I LIKE: squeaky toys but I love treats and I can catch them mid-air.I KNOW: I`m easy on the leash and will sit politely for a treat. I`m a little underweight so I tend to focus on treats but I like to play and have fun too. The volunteers say I`m well behaved and easy to handle.IF YOU`RE LOOKING FOR: someone that will welcome you home each day with a big smile and a wagging tail, that`s me.I AM SPECIAL BECAUSE: I`m smart and a quick learner.

Story
Chassie is an adorable, sweet, and loving dog. She is playful, likes to have conversations with her human, and loves snuggling on laps, head rubs, and lots of naps. Chassie loves humans, is good with kids and cats, and is friendly with dogs after she has had time to become comfortable with them. Chassie loves walks, does well on her leash and absolutely loves car rides - it doesn't matter who is driving, she will jump right in.     She is house-trained, crate trained, and good with basic commands. We are working on introducing her to other dogs, as she is not socialized.    A perfect home for Chassie is someone who will give her lots of love and head rubs, talk to her, and has a fenced yard so she can sunbathe. She will do very well as the only dog in the house to soak up all the attention to herself and will need walks/jogs/runs for exercise until she has more time to become better socialized (no dog parks).  ##1558862##

Story
WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA Kohana is a handsome, senior boy at 10 years old. He came in as an owner surrender due to the owner becoming disabled and had to move in with her daughter who had other dogs that didn't get along with him. Kohana is a big boy at around 100 lbs. and sweet with adults. Particularly with females, he loves to sit on you. Unfortunately, he does not like kids and will bark at them. He'll give you a nudge with his head and paw at you when he wants attention. Out of character for most Huskies, if someone comes to the door or approaches the car while he is in it he will get excited and bark. He walks well on a leash and can walk with multiple dogs. He gets along with other dogs and will engage in playing with them. He does well in a car and likes to go for rides. This boy has storm anxiety as many dogs do. He loves to be brushed and get belly rubs. He's very food driven, and food needs to be kept off counters and trashcans need to be stored in pantries or inside a cabinet. Of note, he’s used to being with other dogs but he can be possessive of his humans and would do very well as the only dog, too. Kohana is healthy, Heartworm negative, housetrained, up to date on his shots and neutered. This is a sweet, lovable older boy who deserves a forever home for his remaining years.
