Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. King is in the Rescue!! This guy is a handsome 7-year-old Siberian Husky. King came to this rescue, as a surrender. His past owners did not understand Huskies dispositions before getting him. King basically he ruled the house, had no manners liked to growl when he didn’t want to do something, he pulled on the leash and he did not like a crate. Now king walks well on a leash. Loves his crate and has learned his basic manners but most importantly he now understands that he cannot be the Alpha. King needs an experienced Dog owner who can continue to provide structure. King needs a person(s) whom understands that he has had an unstructured past and will continue to give him a structured environment. Kings ideal home would be a   house with adult(s) and old children, along with a yard completely enclosed by a 6 ft. fence and a nice  bed on the floor he does not like sitting on the couch.    King intermingles with our pack with no desire to be the alpha. He is independent and likes to play with a few choice dogs.  King likes to play with his foster parents, doesn’t like balls or toys. He does likes to be loved and cuddled but when he had enough, he walks away. Oh!!! and King loves to be Brushed!!  He is really is a Great Dog!! ( up date) king has been returned after being adopted because of bitting a family member. He has shown no signs of aggrestion since coming back for the last year.  King has been back over a year and has not shown any signs of aggression. Having a play mate would be helpful he like to play with other dogs his size. Up date King is very well behaved and is like by the entire  neighborhood. He plays will children and everyone he meets. I am not sure if he ever bit anyone. He love walks and meeting everyone he comes in contact with. He has warmed up to children and plays with my  grandchildren. When we go for walks all the kids know him now and love to pet him. King no longer sleeps in a crate but sleeps on a bed next to the other dogs. He also love to be brushed witch you must do with a Husky. If you are interested in finding out more about King, please submit an application.     www.FureverHomeRescue.Dog &#226&#128&#139 Assessment: Purple (See our code assessment page on our web site for more Info)  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    October 23, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Very sweet girl. We got her from Lee County a few months ago. We recently had a change in management at our apartment complex and were told that husky is a restricted breed unless they are a service dog. She is good with other dogs and has the sweetest temperament. She knows commands like sits, down, speak and shake(hand shake)

Story
This handsome blue-eyed gentleman came to us by way of Clewiston Animal Control, as they were out of space. He also came to us with a fracture of his right front paw. As we always do, we went the extra mile and then some for Liberty. He had an orthopedic consult with our favorite specialist in Naples. The consult led to surgery, an arthrodesis, and a very lengthy recovery period. Now fully healed, Liberty is ready to find a kind and loving forever home. Why not come out and stare into these blue eyes today! Story
This gorgeous, playful boy came to us back in 2015 from Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC.  He is lovable, energetic, affectionate... everything you could want in a young, large-breed dog.  Dakota truly needs a FOREVER home.  He has been returned to ARC FOUR TIMES since coming to us... and never for a reason that was a fault of his own!  His first adopter brought him back because they, 'didn't have enough time.'  His second adopter returned him because he got called back to the military.  This was very sad, as we had very high hopes for this adopter.  The third adopter returned poor Dakota because he was too energetic.  This poor boy just can't catch a break!  And finally, adopter number four returned him because he was too energetic, and was unwilling to train him (even though this was agreed to prior to adoption). Dakota needs an active, YOUNG family that will give him the exercise and attention that he really needs.  He would do well in a young family that has adequate time to train him, exercise him, and play with him.  If you're away from home frequently, or don't have the time to give him enough exercise and training, then Dakota is NOT the dog for you.  However, if you're willing to devote the time he deserves to raise and train him properly, he'd be just perfect. We even provide the trainer!!! So... because he has been returned so many times, we have decided to classify Dakota as Foster to Adopt.  This means that he must spend time in your home as a foster pet first.  His foster home will be required to work with our canine trainer on a weekly basis.  We will perform a home visit every week for the first few weeks.  Once all parties involved are satisfied that we've found his forever home, we'll consider adoption.  ARC will cover all costs associated with Dakota's care (food, medical, etc) during the time he's being fostered. Dakota is a wonderful, sweet dog.  He just needs the right forever home.  Why not come out and meet him? My ideal home: I need a forever home. A FOREVER home!!!
