Story
Meet Brooks! Around 1 and medium sized. He is the cutest husky, and truly a good boy. He is potty trained, crate trained, walks great on a leash and knows his basic commands. He gets along with other dogs big and small (not sure about cats). He LOVES to play, so his perfect home would have another playful pup. Fenced in yard is a must. He has great manners in the house, but he is still young and can get into things sometimes. He loves to snuggle, and is pretty gentle with my daughter. Due to his size and energy level I would say older children (7+) only. Apply online. Must be local to SWFL area.

Story
This handsome blue-eyed gentleman came to us by way of Clewiston Animal Control, as they were out of space. He also came to us with a fracture of his right front paw. As we always do, we went the extra mile and then some for Liberty. He had an orthopedic consult with our favorite specialist in Naples. The consult led to surgery, an arthrodesis, and a very lengthy recovery period. Now fully healed, Liberty is ready to find a kind and loving forever home. Why not come out and stare into these blue eyes today! Story
This gorgeous, playful boy came to us back in 2015 from Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC.  He is lovable, energetic, affectionate... everything you could want in a young, large-breed dog.  Dakota truly needs a FOREVER home.  He has been returned to ARC FOUR TIMES since coming to us... and never for a reason that was a fault of his own!  His first adopter brought him back because they, 'didn't have enough time.'  His second adopter returned him because he got called back to the military.  This was very sad, as we had very high hopes for this adopter.  The third adopter returned poor Dakota because he was too energetic.  This poor boy just can't catch a break!  And finally, adopter number four returned him because he was too energetic, and was unwilling to train him (even though this was agreed to prior to adoption). Dakota needs an active, YOUNG family that will give him the exercise and attention that he really needs.  He would do well in a young family that has adequate time to train him, exercise him, and play with him.  If you're away from home frequently, or don't have the time to give him enough exercise and training, then Dakota is NOT the dog for you.  However, if you're willing to devote the time he deserves to raise and train him properly, he'd be just perfect. We even provide the trainer!!! So... because he has been returned so many times, we have decided to classify Dakota as Foster to Adopt.  This means that he must spend time in your home as a foster pet first.  His foster home will be required to work with our canine trainer on a weekly basis.  We will perform a home visit every week for the first few weeks.  Once all parties involved are satisfied that we've found his forever home, we'll consider adoption.  ARC will cover all costs associated with Dakota's care (food, medical, etc) during the time he's being fostered. Dakota is a wonderful, sweet dog.  He just needs the right forever home.  Why not come out and meet him? My ideal home: I need a forever home. A FOREVER home!!! Meet Rocco. He is a blue, Alaskan Husky mix who was surrendered to us because he did not do well with their other dog. He is a playful pup with the sweetest personality. 2 year old Male Siberian Husky - MixI've been at ARC for and 28 daysWeight: 26.6 Lbs.My story:Say hello to Fuzzy, the cutest Siberian Husky Mix you will ever meet. When Fuzzy first arrived at ARC, he was a little bit scared of everyone, but after just 24 hours, he came out of his shell and started appreciating all the love he was getting. This guy will need some grooming from time to time to keep his fluffy coat looking healthy, but other than that, he is pretty low maintenance. He loves his treats of course and will spend all his time curled up next to you for petting and scratches. Every once in a while, he will sing a beautiful song. Try not fall in love with him, we dare you! Why not complete an application and schedule an appointment to meet this sweet boy today? Story
Hi there, my name is Dash. I am a 72 pound Husky/Lab mix breed, a big beautiful boy with lots of spunk and personality. I am a very strong boy, and I can be a little mouthy and excitable at times, so a home with older kids would be best for me. I have lived in three different shelters, spending a very long time trying to look for a forever home. I first entered the shelter system in January of 2021. My masters degree is certified, I am well trained in "Sit", "Shake", and "Lay Down" already, and will gladly show off all of my skills for a snack. Ready to play and run around? Great! Activity and running around are my favorite, chasing a good toy is my specialty. I need a home where I can be the star of the show, as the only furry friend in the house. I need an owner who can help me continue working on my leash manners, I get super hyped for walks so I tend to pull on leash, but I am working on it. Please come see me at GCHS!
