Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. King is in the Rescue!! This guy is a handsome 7-year-old Siberian Husky. King came to this rescue, as a surrender. His past owners did not understand Huskies dispositions before getting him. King basically he ruled the house, had no manners liked to growl when he didn’t want to do something, he pulled on the leash and he did not like a crate. Now king walks well on a leash. Loves his crate and has learned his basic manners but most importantly he now understands that he cannot be the Alpha. King needs an experienced Dog owner who can continue to provide structure. King needs a person(s) whom understands that he has had an unstructured past and will continue to give him a structured environment. Kings ideal home would be a   house with adult(s) and old children, along with a yard completely enclosed by a 6 ft. fence and a nice  bed on the floor he does not like sitting on the couch.    King intermingles with our pack with no desire to be the alpha. He is independent and likes to play with a few choice dogs.  King likes to play with his foster parents, doesn’t like balls or toys. He does likes to be loved and cuddled but when he had enough, he walks away. Oh!!! and King loves to be Brushed!!  He is really is a Great Dog!! ( up date) king has been returned after being adopted because of bitting a family member. He has shown no signs of aggrestion since coming back for the last year.  King has been back over a year and has not shown any signs of aggression. Having a play mate would be helpful he like to play with other dogs his size. Up date King is very well behaved and is like by the entire  neighborhood. He plays will children and everyone he meets. I am not sure if he ever bit anyone. He love walks and meeting everyone he comes in contact with. He has warmed up to children and plays with my  grandchildren. When we go for walks all the kids know him now and love to pet him. King no longer sleeps in a crate but sleeps on a bed next to the other dogs. He also love to be brushed witch you must do with a Husky. If you are interested in finding out more about King, please submit an application.     www.FureverHomeRescue.Dog &#226&#128&#139 Assessment: Purple (See our code assessment page on our web site for more Info)  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    October 23, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Meet Opia✨ Opia is a silly, loving, hyper, needy 3 year old girl. She is a husky mix with the cutest floppy tipped ears. Her favorite things are swimming, dog parks, and HER BELLY PET!! She needs a very active lifestyle and a loving owner with (preferably) a secure fenced yard. She is extremely social with all dogs and adults. She loves to snuggle on the couch and is a wonderful protector. Fully crate trained as well! She needs some work with walking on a leash. She has some resource guarding behavioral issues and does nip when you take something from her. Unfortunately this will be an issue with children. She also has a high prey drive and will go after small animals and cats. I really want to find her a home where she will be loved and given the attention she needs❤️ She is due for a couple annual shots currently. She is up to date on flea/tick/heartworm (Simparica Trio). If you have further questions about her please email daworminurplants@gmail.com

Story
Meet Koda. He is a 2 year old Husky, shepherd mix and who knows what else! He's a happy, playful, goofy guy who will steal your heart. He is great with older kids. He loves to play but also loves snuggling in bed with you. He’s an amazing pup and would benefit with a house with a yard. He is being fostered in the west palm beach area Florida. For more up to date information on this dog please go to our website @ https://www.playk9rescue.org/adopt-a-dog The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care and training which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and training needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home. Please note, we will not approve an adoption to individuals or families residing in rental apartments. Typically, apartment complexes have pet policies on restricted breeds and weights which includes German Shepherd Dogs, Belgian Malinois, bully breeds, etc. These dog breeds are not breeds that will thrive in an apartment setting regardless of the management pet policy. Our adoption policy is non-negotiable.

Story
Meet Rusty! This sweet medium sized boy recently found himself as a stray that sadly no one was looking for A group of good samaritans were determined to save him and did! Thankfully, one of our amazing foster homes agreed to take him in and we were able to welcome him into our rescue. His foster mom says that he is a happy, energetic and extremely curious young boy He is a social butterfly that likes to meet new people and dogs (even cats ) although he needs to learn that not all cats want to play He's in a foster home with 3 male dogs and a few cats and does great with them. Rusty LOVES exploring the backyard and squeaky toys are his favorite He is working on leash training each day, which is all new to him, but he also has a few commands such as "no and "sit down pat - he's a fast learner. He would do best with another dog in the home and without small children who could let him out a door or spook him. But he will happily be you and your dog's best friend! Rusty is only about 45lbs, 1-2 years old and is both house and crate trained. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and HW-. His adoption fee is $250 and he is in St. Petersburg. www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process Let's find Rusty his happily ever after!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Milton is a majestic husky mix with a gorgeous alabaster coat and stunning eyes. He is approximately 4-5 years old and weighs around 50 lbs. He was found wandering after Hurricane Milton in North Sarasota and required medical intervention. Despite being dehydrated, underweight, and having visible wounds on his body, his spirit was not broken. Milton has been working with a trainer to help him reach his full potential and become the best version of himself! He is looking for that special someone that is seeking a monogamous relationship full of adventures that can be shared together. Milton is a lover boy, he is very affectionate and loves to be with people. Milton walks well on a leash when he is bonded with his handler. He looks for reassurance and at times can get carried away seeking attention on walks but gracefully accepts corrections. He is a typical husky; smart with a wild side, and he will need a handler willing to issue soft, fair corrections. Milton knows his commands and does well in training, although he can get distracted and needs someone who will continue to work on his handler orientation. He will do great in a home where he can be a part of everything. He is crate trained but will definitely let you know if you’ve been away too long for his liking. Are you looking for a faithful companion that has a twinkle in his eye and movie star good looks, then Milton just might be the man for you! Milton is undergoing heartworm treatment and has an excellent prognosis. He is neutered and up to date with all of his vaccinations. He will be best in an adult-only home that is devoted to him. He loves to be with his people and the center of attention where he can get cuddles, love, and affection. Milton requires a home that he can be the only pet. Homes with small children, cats, and other dogs will not be considered. To meet Milton, please submit an adoption application (no obligation) at www.satchelslastresort.org and an adoptions counselor will be in touch.

Story
WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA Kohana is a handsome, senior boy at 10 years old. He came in as an owner surrender due to the owner becoming disabled and had to move in with her daughter who had other dogs that didn't get along with him. Kohana is a big boy at around 100 lbs. and sweet with adults. Particularly with females, he loves to sit on you. Unfortunately, he does not like kids and will bark at them. He'll give you a nudge with his head and paw at you when he wants attention. Out of character for most Huskies, if someone comes to the door or approaches the car while he is in it he will get excited and bark. He walks well on a leash and can walk with multiple dogs. He gets along with other dogs and will engage in playing with them. He does well in a car and likes to go for rides. This boy has storm anxiety as many dogs do. He loves to be brushed and get belly rubs. He's very food driven, and food needs to be kept off counters and trashcans need to be stored in pantries or inside a cabinet. Of note, he’s used to being with other dogs but he can be possessive of his humans and would do very well as the only dog, too. Kohana is healthy, Heartworm negative, housetrained, up to date on his shots and neutered. This is a sweet, lovable older boy who deserves a forever home for his remaining years.
