Story
'Courtesy' Sweet and loving Husky boy, affectionately referred to as Dimitri is looking for a forever home. This big boy is under one years old and is very energetic and loving. He is currently in a home with a small child and has been observed to do great with the child and other dogs. Dimitri has a calm demeanor indoors with people, but requires lots of stimulation and physical activity as per his breed’s requirements and age. He will do great in a pack, and/or with physically active owner(s). He has not yet been crate trained, and may need to be observed alone as he has been both great alone indoors and at times troublesome. This is all dependent on his mental stimulation and physical activity. It is recommended for first time Husky owners to research the breed as they are very special dogs. Highly intelligent and stubborn but one of the most incredible breeds. Dimitri should be adopted into a family that will nurture him, provide him with a yard and a doggy bed indoors to avoid the Florida heat that can be detrimental on the Husky breed. Dimitri is a chaser so families with cats must be cautious. He is young enough to train and redirect but he will pursue a cat and small animals and insects. It is recommended to ease him in and to dedicate the time needed to redirect that behavior. He does love to play fetch and will fetch balls, sticks and even frisbees. He enjoys running and playing and will adjust well with any dog breed. Because of his size and age it would be best that he be mixed with medium and larger sized dogs to avoid any rough play accidents. He is a useless guard dog (haha) and will only seldomly howl and he will “Husky talk” to you often. Currently Dimitri is unaltered but will be neutered prior to adoption.   November 5, 2024, 4:31 pm

Story
Lobo has been a cherished member of our family for the past two years. He joined us during a tough time when we lost another beloved pet, bringing comfort and joy back into our lives. As our kids have grown older and become busy with school and activities, we’ve realized that Lobo deserves more time, love, and attention than we can currently provide. Here’s what makes Lobo so special: 🐾 Attentive: Lobo is incredibly intelligent. He understands commands like going outside and coming back in—almost as if he’s really listening! 🐾 Protective: One of our kids needs extra care, and Lobo always stays close when they’re playing in the pool, circling playfully as if he’s watching over them. 🐾 Energy: Lobo would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of attention, playtime, and maybe even another furry sibling to bond with. We truly believe Lobo has so much love to give. We hope to find a family who can give him the time, care, and adventures he deserves.

Story
Hi everyone I'm Martini, former member of the Cocktail pups. I got too big and strong for my previous owner and unfortunately had to return me. I am the sweetest Shepsky mix that just celebrated her 1st Birthday last month. I have tons of energy and enjoy my walks to let off some steam. I get along great with other dogs but not particularly fond of sharing my toys. My foster siblings are teaching me that it's ok to share. I don't like cats because they're mean to me. I know a few commands, so I'm very smart and learn fast. I love hugs and kisses, but my favorite thing is getting belly rubs. If you let me, I will snuggle with you on the couch or I will always be right next to you to keep your feet warm. I am fully crate and potty trained and would prefer to live in a child free home. Can't wait to meet you Adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. Please fill out our application at https://gkarma.wufoo.com/forms/good-karma-pet-rescue-dog-adoption-screening/ if you would like to adopt or meet this dog, and we will be in touch right away!

Story
Meet Ash! Ash a Shepard/Husky mix, with heterochromia eyes (one blue, one brown). He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. He is great with people, other dogs and cats. He would probably do great with adolescents. No resource guarding, loves Bene bones, knows basic commands, can be a bit pulley on leash but takes correction well when tugging up in leash. Ash has sad backstory. He was originally adopted in February 2023 when Ash was approximately four months old. A neighbor noticed he had been tied up in the yard and was barking. When confronted, the owner said he didn't want the dog any longer so the neighbor took him in. It turned out that poor Ash was not taken care of properly. He had not been given preventatives care so the neighbor took him to the vet and brought up to date on all vaccines. He was diagnosed with osteonecrosis of the right hip which he was treated for. He also had training with a dog trainer. Sadly, the neighbor has now asked for our help to rehome Ash. He has tried his best, but doesn’t feel that Ash is in the right home and needs some who will have more patience and time to give him. He is non reactive with other dogs and just wants to play. He is a high energy young dog who would do best with someone who can match his energy. Are you ready to give Ash the life he deserves? Apply to become my new family today!

Story
Ghost and his siblings arrived at the shelter when a Good Samaritan found a chunky stray dog that turned out to be heavily pregnant. Their mother was adopted by this kind soul who cared for her and now we want to help her babies find a loving home! Ghost is a 2.5 months old friendly and playful husky shepherd mix who deserves to be in a loving home not in a kennel. He is still a puppy and working on potty training and basic commands. If you would like to give this sweet and affectionate boy a forever home, please apply on our website: www.savingsagerescue.org
