Story
Juno is a sweet, soft, and loving dog who will make a lucky family very happy. She is still learning basic commands and leash etiquette but she is a fast learner and is eager to please and win a treat. She loves attention and getting pets and she will even pet you back! She’s very quiet, especially for a husky. She can be afraid in new situations but quickly warms up when her foster brother is around. She would thrive in a family with another dog. She hates the crate but still needs to be in it if she isn’t supervised. She likes to chew but can be easily redirected with a bone or a toy. Her foster family thinks she is a very special girl! ##2221271##

Story
Myra (who goes by Maya in her foster home) is a very sweet, almost one year old (about 10/11 months). Her origins are unknown, but she must have experienced some negative associations with other dogs, so she does tend to lip curl or show teeth to new dogs she meets to establish her "bubble". However, once she has a few minutes with them, they get along well and she is actually quite submissive. She has been in two foster homes- one with several dogs and cats, and another with four large dogs, and got along well with all. She does prefer male dogs and seems to get along with them the best. She can be a bit shy with new people, but warms up fast and then bonds hard, particularly with women. Men are ok, but she's prone to attach herself to her mama. She really enjoys cuddling both with people and her dog friends.  Maya is full of puppy exuberance. We think she was a gazelle in a previous life; she has a vertical hop that will impress! She should have a 6' fence in her new home just to be safe. She likes toys and is pretty good at fetching; she is capable of breaking the sound barrier with her fast zoomies! She'd also really like to catch a squirrel... She's very curious, happy, and athletic. She comes when called, but also loves to explore her surroundings. She learned the doggie door in less than 24 hours and takes herself outside and back in as she pleases.  She's housetrained with a doggie door! She also walks nicely on a leash and sticks close to her person. Myra weighs about 50 lbs. She is tall and lean, and would be a great adventure companion. She would be a good running or hiking buddy, and likely would do well with agility or similar activities. She's also a quiet dog, not a big barker. She'd make a good therapy or ESA dog for a woman. She loves to hang out with her person while working from home, and just likes to tuck herself under the desk and snooze; she'd be a good work buddy. She would also be a good Canine Good Citizen candidate with her gentle nature  and some more confidence building. She doesn't love car rides, but is getting better with every trip and no longer gets car sick unless it's a curvy road   Maya can be startled by fast movements so a home with a bit older kids (12 and up) would be the best match for her.  She would do best with other playful non-aggressive dogs, particularly males. She's quite smitten with her current foster home's two boy dogs, even snuggling with one on the first night she came into the home and nearly every night since. Ideally, Maya's forever home would be with a woman or couple, (sorry, no single men), a fenced yard, and a younger playful male dog to play with.  Maya's  being fostered in the Colorado Springs area. Please submit an adoption application today to discuss and meet and greet!  ##2141049##

Story
***Out-of-Town Pet*** Hansel is currently in Crosby TX but is available to be transported to his forever home! Allow me to introduce you to Hansel, an exceptionally handsome boy with a charming personality! His loving and loyal nature makes him a true companion, always eager to be by your side. Hansel is like a gentle giant, embodying the spirit of a big baby who craves affection and attention. One of his adorable quirks is his habit of carrying around a soft toy, which he enjoys sucking on as he moves about. This comforting habit brings him a sense of security, no matter where he goes. Hansel loves engaging in playful antics with his other foster siblings, showcasing his friendly and sociable demeanor. However, he’s equally content to lounge around the house, soaking up the atmosphere while you handle your daily tasks. Whether he’s playing or relaxing, Hansel’s warm-hearted presence is sure to bring joy to everyone around him! This wonderful dog deserves a loving forever home! If you're interested in giving him the love and attention he truly deserves, please feel free to reach out. If you're not able to adopt him, consider sharing this with a friend who might be a good fit for him. We can also arrange a meet and greet! He is neutered, microchipped, kennel trained, up to date on vaccinations, and great with other dogs. He's also been fantastic with everyone he has met, including children. If you're ready to welcome this sweet, handsome boy into your home, please fill out the form through the link below, and we’ll get back to you promptly. https://form.jotform.com/241765023842152 As part of our adoption process, we are committed to ensuring that this is the perfect match for both you and the animal. Finding your forever best friend is our priority, and we appreciate your trust in us to facilitate this important decision. When introducing other animals in your home, we strongly recommend a thoughtful and gradual approach with all of our rescues. Keep in mind that not all dogs will get along. They have their own preferences, just like people do. The same goes for interactions with children; it's crucial to prevent overwhelming the adopted animal during the first meetings. Take the time you need to assess how they interact. Please be aware that all adoption fees are classified as donations to support our mission and organization. If the dog is returned for any reason, the donation will not be refunded, as we will incur costs for their transportation back to us. Thank you for your understanding and for making a difference in the life of a rescue animal!
