ADOPTION FEE: $450 Meet Juneau! This lovely lady was originally adopted from us in 2021 and has been returned due to her previous human moving. Juneau is an absolute sweetheart who has been through far too many homes. She needs a person who is dedicated to her for the rest of her life. Juneau is smart, attentive, and loving. She knows how to sit, shake, and speak. She walks well on a leash, but in true Husky fashion, is known to be a bit of an escape artist. Juneau is a little protective of her food bowl, but has never snapped or bit at anyone. She is friendly to all people and dogs and has done well in dog daycare. She enjoys being active and would love a family that will show her all the joys of the Colorado camping and hiking lifestyle. From her amazing foster: (12/6) "Juneau is the sweetest dog ever! She loves to cuddle and take naps but she also loves to go on lots of walks! She’s really good on the leash and a very friendly dog! She’s the sweetest girl ever to everyone she meets. She knows how to do lots of tricks and is very well potty trained! It’s been such an amazing time fostering her, she’s an amazing dog and anyone would be so lucky to have her❤️" We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Previous Shelter Notes: Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/Znztowt4k2k  Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/amEJ4z0WUQM  Staff notes - Poor Arthur arrived as an unclaimed stray and he hasn’t had the greatest time at the shelter so far. Story
Echo is a hilarious, charming, loyal and loving husky. He is also temperamental, opinionated and stubborn - again, hes a husky. Born on April 24, 2022, Echo is a young 2 year old and has had some trials and tribulations already in his life. He came into my care after being abandoned at a vet appointment when he was 6 months old. I was happy to take him in and relocate him to CO with me and my two sheepdogs. Since then, he has exhibited some chronic behavioral issues which I feel are mostly temper-tantrums due to his living situation. - He is house-trained, but does MARK when he is upset - He knows both simple and complex commands: sit, down, up, off, wait, stay, shake and place - Crate trained - Prey and Food motivated Echo needs an ACTIVE home with an attentive owner who is home, or willing to bring him along to a job site. Echo needs to be the only dog, or have one other companion. Hes friendly with most dogs, most children and adults. Has been trained by Sit Means Sit NOCO.

Story
Riggs is a 10-12 month old, male, Siberian Husky and boy is he true to his roots. He loves to chase bunnies, has a bit of sass, and has an independent nature. Riggs is dog friendly and seems oddly non-reactive to cats but hasn’t lived directly with one. He’s gentle with kiddos (again, hasn’t lived with them), does well in a secure, plastic crate, seems house trained, and walks pretty well on a leash. He can be a bit skeptical when meeting new people or being introduced to new things, but he’s quick to warm up. He also really enjoys the water (I know, it’s kinda strange for us, too) and does well in the car. He’s a petite young man, around 40 lbs. Although, once he’s filled out and finished growing he should even out around 50-55 lbs. Riggs spent a few months in a small, underfunded, shelter in Texas where he didn’t get the best of nutrition. He experiences some growing pains here and there but he’s getting stronger each and every day! A true husky lovers delight! Fenced in yard required. Riggs is being fostered in Laramie, Wyoming. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/riggs/. Story
Angie! 💎💎 Angie is a beautiful, 2-3 year old, girl with ice blue eyes and a heart of pure gold. This sweet, husky/pit mix joined MHCR as a transfer from a high intake/high kill shelter in Texas. She entered the shelter with her young puppies and after a few days they all passed away. There she was alone and afraid and now facing death row due to lack of space. A human mama heard her plea and offered to take Angie in as her foster. This offer saved her life. Angie quickly grew accustomed to home life. She is well mannered and mellow inside. She loves to snuggle and cuddle. Occasionally she will wrestle with the other canine siblings in her home. Angie is loyal and loving. She will thrive in a home with a fenced in yard, perhaps another dog friend or two, and humans that can provide her plenty of structure and routine so she can continue to grow into her best self. Angie is 45 lbs. Angie is in foster in Aurora, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/angie You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Maya is a 4-year-old Siberian Husky. She is sweet, independent, suuuper chill (especially for a husky), very cat-like and non-destructive. She is VERY lazy, but she still loves fetch. She loves sunbathing and will lay out in the sun for hours. She takes a while to warm up to new people, but once she warms to you, you will be her human. She cannot do doggie day-care. It is too over-stimulating for her. Rover with a consistent human sitter would work perfectly for her. Maya grew up with her human sister, who was born around the time Maya was adopted. They get along great, so Maya is very good with little kids. I adopted Maya because I wanted to help and because I wanted to provide my dog with a friend. Unfortunately, after extensive training, Maya still does not get along with my other dog. Maya has quite an alpha personality, so she should be the only pet in the home. She has high prey drive and will kill any pet rabbits or other small animals. She also does not enjoy dog parks.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS DOG: Sammy is shy and fearful around humans and is bonded to Rosie. She requires patience, love, and guidance to help continue to show her how to properly dog and that the world is not as scary as it seems. Sammy is so sweet! She had a rough beginning and has come a very long way learning how to be a dog and trusting humans. She went from cowering in corners and kennels to spinning excitedly when we greet her in the morning. Sammy has never showed any aggression to humans and just melts when getting brushed. She is full of curiosity and loves exploring and chasing the squirrels. Sammy will take some time and patience from a special human to get used to her surroundings and will need a fenced yard as she is not very comfortable on a leash. She will do best in a home by herself and no cats. Sammy came into rescue with her two friends, who are also female chow mixes. All three were very scared of humans and refused to even be touched. Again, there was no aggression - but they would run away in fear if humans tried to approach. They have been fostered with our director's family for last couple of years while they have gone through a very slow introduction to the good side of humans. While they are now ready to find their forever homes, they do need adopters who are willing to take the time to win their trust and won't expect them to be going for walks around the neighborhood anytime soon. These girls can only go to homes with fully fenced backyards and very patient humans. These girls will not be attending our adoption events and will require meet and greets at the foster's home. ADOPTION FEE: $75 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS DOG: Rosie is shy and fearful around humans and is bonded to Sammy. She requires patience, love, and guidance to help continue to show her how to properly dog and that the world is not as scary as it seems. Rosie is a very shy girl and is still feeling a little scared of humans. She does like to be pet and having her neck scratched. Her personality shows when she gets outside and argues with the squirrels but it takes a little while for her to get used to coming inside the house. Rosie has seen a lot in her life and has some trust issues with humans. She has never shown any aggression and will melt when she gets brushed or pet. Like her siblings, she will take some time adjusting to a new home and may never totally come out of her shell. She would be good in a home with a fenced yard or warm outside space and no cats. Rosie came into rescue with her two friends, who are also female chow mixes. All three were very scared of humans and refused to even be touched.
