Story
ADOPTION FEE: $450 Meet Juneau! This lovely lady was originally adopted from us in 2021 and has been returned due to her previous human moving. Juneau is an absolute sweetheart who has been through far too many homes. She needs a person who is dedicated to her for the rest of her life. Juneau is smart, attentive, and loving. She knows how to sit, shake, and speak. She walks well on a leash, but in true Husky fashion, is known to be a bit of an escape artist. Juneau is a little protective of her food bowl, but has never snapped or bit at anyone. She is friendly to all people and dogs and has done well in dog daycare. She enjoys being active and would love a family that will show her all the joys of the Colorado camping and hiking lifestyle. From her amazing foster: (12/6) "Juneau is the sweetest dog ever! She loves to cuddle and take naps but she also loves to go on lots of walks! She’s really good on the leash and a very friendly dog! She’s the sweetest girl ever to everyone she meets. She knows how to do lots of tricks and is very well potty trained! It’s been such an amazing time fostering her, she’s an amazing dog and anyone would be so lucky to have her❤️" We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Story
**Meet Juniper!** House Trained, Great with Kids, Non Destructive/Does well alone Juniper is a 1.5 year old adorable cattle dog mix who has never met a stranger. This gal came into the shelter as a young mama with NINE tiny puppies! In addition to being a new mom, she had a hip injury that appeared to be due to trauma. Despite likely being in pain and having survived some scary stuff, she was the best mom to her babies. She loved to show them off to everyone who came to visit with a wiggly butt and tons of kisses. When her babies were old enough to go off on their own, Juniper went in for an FHO surgery. Even during a long and painful recovery, she was still the sweetest most loving girl to everyone who was a part of her care, quickly earning status as a vet staff favorite! Juni has lived with and done well with several dogs, despite having beef with a neighboring doodle that did result in a couple of scraps (doodle's....am I right??). Juniper would be great for a young family with no cats and a friendly non-doodle type dog or two.   January 27, 2025, 4:59 pm

Story
Sierra has been looking for her forever home for a while now. She is extremely sweet and absolutely adores people. Sierra is a very playful pup and loves her stuffies. She plays well with other pups and we think she would do great with another dog in the house. She hasn't been around cats, so we are unsure how she would behave. But, she is gentle and would likely do well with kids. This girl has a beautiful coat and tail. She is full of energy and could be a great running or hiking buddy! She is very smart and has done well with training so far.

Story
Koda is a goofy, lively, intelligent and loving Husky/Malamute mix. With one blue and one brown, his eyes are as unique as his personality. He is bilingual so he knows commands in both Spanish and English. He isn’t the biggest howler or talker compared to other huskies, which I know some will appreciate. With appropriate training, he would be the best dog you could ask for. Though very goofy, his intelligence is astounding. I decided to foster him after a coworker had an accidental litter. I didn’t want him going to a shelter. I am in a situation now where I have to work two jobs and he really needs a home with a yard and someone to give him the engagement and playtime he deserves. I will provide all toys, treats and vacuum brush grooming kit. It was suggested to wait until 18 months for neutering so his growth plates have time to fully develop so I will leave that decision up to his new owner.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS DOG: Sammy is shy and fearful around humans and is bonded to Rosie. She requires patience, love, and guidance to help continue to show her how to properly dog and that the world is not as scary as it seems. Sammy is so sweet! She had a rough beginning and has come a very long way learning how to be a dog and trusting humans. She went from cowering in corners and kennels to spinning excitedly when we greet her in the morning. Sammy has never showed any aggression to humans and just melts when getting brushed. She is full of curiosity and loves exploring and chasing the squirrels. Sammy will take some time and patience from a special human to get used to her surroundings and will need a fenced yard as she is not very comfortable on a leash. She will do best in a home by herself and no cats. Sammy came into rescue with her two friends, who are also female chow mixes. All three were very scared of humans and refused to even be touched. Again, there was no aggression - but they would run away in fear if humans tried to approach. They have been fostered with our director's family for last couple of years while they have gone through a very slow introduction to the good side of humans. While they are now ready to find their forever homes, they do need adopters who are willing to take the time to win their trust and won't expect them to be going for walks around the neighborhood anytime soon. These girls can only go to homes with fully fenced backyards and very patient humans. These girls will not be attending our adoption events and will require meet and greets at the foster's home. ADOPTION FEE: $75 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS DOG: Rosie is shy and fearful around humans and is bonded to Sammy. She requires patience, love, and guidance to help continue to show her how to properly dog and that the world is not as scary as it seems. Rosie is a very shy girl and is still feeling a little scared of humans. She does like to be pet and having her neck scratched. Her personality shows when she gets outside and argues with the squirrels but it takes a little while for her to get used to coming inside the house. Rosie has seen a lot in her life and has some trust issues with humans. She has never shown any aggression and will melt when she gets brushed or pet. Like her siblings, she will take some time adjusting to a new home and may never totally come out of her shell. She would be good in a home with a fenced yard or warm outside space and no cats. Rosie came into rescue with her two friends, who are also female chow mixes. All three were very scared of humans and refused to even be touched. Again, there was no aggression - but they would run away in fear if humans tried to approach.
